It was a perfect location for our family (2 adults, one baby). Near the beach, actually across the street from it, the camping has an excellent location, near Visby. The inner city is just a 10-minutes walk away,the nearest store is 15minutes away.
The hotel cabin is fully equiped with a little kitchen, bathroom with toilet and shower and warm water around the clock and a room with a double bed and tv.

We are staying here for 3 nights at the end of the summer season. It is a gorgeous campsite in close proximity to Visby town and across from the beach with lovely views. We are a family of 6 staying in a well equipped cabin with everything you need, including a veranda with chairs/table to watch the sunset. Amenities block is clean with good hot showers (on a timer). A bit expensive but water is an ongoing issue on Gotland. A map of the local area would have been useful on arrival, perhaps indicating where nearest shops, etc are. I hope we get to come back! 

Visby Strandby is a great place to have as a startingpoint when you visit Visby! It only takes a few minutes to reach the center of the city Visby. You can camp there with caravan or tent and then take a bikeride to the city. It's familyfriendly and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful! 

We had a nice small cottage with view over the sea and really enjoyed it. 
My only complain is that we would have appreciated having the reception open during the mornings as well, since we were in town during the afternoons, and we had some questions about parkings and shower cards. But that’s a minor one.

Lovely Visby!

Very nice

It's a nice place and a good price. It's also very good that with this price they provide you with a small kitchen (doesn't happen always).

But:
1. You need to rent bedsheets.

2. The reception is open for literally one hour for some reason, which makes it hard to do anything if you are not there in 15:00. It also causes a long queue of other people who need anything and it's in the middle of the day. Very uncomfortable!

When we wanted to book another night there the staff told us there is no room for us although we found in the internet there is.

Why is the reception open only one hour a day???

Most camping places have a refrigerator you can use or at least pots and pans if facilities for cooking are available. This one did not. Showers costed 4 kr per minute only to get sand and dirt on your feet when you stepped out. At 4 in the morning some drunk residents were loud and obnoxious and made it impossible to sleep (although they are supposed to have people who come around to make sure that people follow the quiet rule in the night). The view was great but it is not everything. I did like the idea of having an outdoor shower but the facilities need to be cleaned more often.
