We had a great time at Lake Villa! The room in the treehouse was very cool and the dinner was tasty. The resort is in a quiet area and we could relax at the pool. The best was the team. They organized a great safari for us and helped us a lot! Thank you for everything!

What a view! The lake is very beautiful and full of birds. We have spent one morning with our binoculars just watching birds from the terrace and poolside. The staff arranged us a lake-view breakfast on the first morning, which was a nice surprise. The food was good, staff is friendly. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The pool is small, but nice for a swim. They provide pool towels. Our tree hut was overlooking the garden and the roof of the restaurant. The other tree huts have a better lakeview.

Very relaxing and calm place after busy life. Very good place to relax and manager was very concern about us always and they willing to help us always.
Nice food with reasonable price for foods. Only one concern was pork curry was ordered and it taster was not much happy.
Specially want to remind Dinesh given nice service and he was very helpful and very kind active boy. Few concern in room to be develop except that all good,me and my wife with son they were relaxed and enjoyed a lot.Pool was in the amazing view and it was lovely . wish you team all best for good future 

We stayed at this amazingly beautiful place in September 2019.The hotel is such a beautiful place. The view from our room was breathtaking. (Lake front) very professional team ( especially Chanuka Sunimal and Dinesh -there service is fantastic) value for money mouth watering food. If you want to be with your loved ones , look no other place.THIS IS IT (Privacy )

Beautiful location to spend your holidays with your family. Great food, friendly staff, super pool with lake view. Comfortable room. We really enjoyed our holiday at this resort and would definitely recommend.

The place is awesome, nice and friendly staff and very clean rooms, Rice and curry is the best! Try this out! East access to the Yala and Bundala national park! the swimming pool is fantastic next to the lake.

This is where I fell in love with Sri Lanka. The cottage, the property, the views and the people were all so incredible. 
We hired the whole cottage, our son staying upstairs and us downstairs. Both rooms had air conditioning and fans. Both were clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony was incredible. You look over the lake and see water buffalo, men herding their cows, fisherman, amazing birds and even monkeys!
There was always hot water and the showers were nice and big. 
The property itself is lovely with fruit trees and stone paths. 
Unfortunately the pool wasn’t working when we were there, but they have another property a 2 minute walk away with a lovely pool that we could use whenever we liked. 
The young man managing the place, Roshan, was so friendly and helpful. His service was above and beyond what’s expected. He organised tours for us and also took us out himself. 
The cook, Kanti, was also so friendly and made us delicious food. 
We stayed here for 4 nights and my only regret is not staying longer. 
I highly recommend the lake villa resort, not just as a stop over for your yala safari but as an amazing place in nature, to unwind and relax. 

Spend one night in a beautiful treehouse. It’s super quiet/ clean and peaceful place, perfect to get ready for the safari. Roshan ( manager) was super helpful. They also do dinner here. Definitely would come back. 

Fantastic place with a scenic lake view. Calm & quiet environment for relaxing. Wonderful hospitality, simple yet delicious food. Well maintained with good cleanliness standards.

This is definitely a place which we can recommend. We stayed here 3 nights in December 2019 and we liked it. There´s plenty sound of wildlife, mainly birds. 
We did 2 safaris, to Bundala and Yala. The safari trips were well organized. We visited the national parks in the Morning hours and saw elefants, a leopard, crocodiles, deer, monkeys, mungos, many birds, a jackal and warans. It´s worth the money I think, although I have imagined to see a more abundant wildlife.
The staff is attentive and helpful, the swimming pool is well kept, the views to the lake are amazing. The rooms were clean and they got cleaned during the day. The AC was working well. Sometime the power went off for 2 hrs and it got hot after an hour. 
The restaurant is good but not outstanding. It has a nice open veranda. Main pain point was the waiting time. We were 5 people and the dishes came out one after another. The cook must have prepared them one at a time. French fries came out quickly. But my meal took 1,5 hrs from order to eat (that´s not acceptable). But the taste was really good. We had Spaghetti Bolognese, Deviled chicken (taste was outstanding good) and Chop Suey. The mango lassis we ordered we had to return, they didn´t match the taste we were expecting.
