The service is impeccable, from arrival, to drinks at the beach to breakfast. The property appears to be relatively new, the rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms.

The perfect retreat to relax for a few days. The staff were helpful and the food was delicious. There’s also a great restaurant opposite the hotel.

Lovely stay, lovely staff and great food.   The hotel is away from the main Tangalle town, but we enjoyed that.  rooms are roomy and nicely designed and furnished.  Food was great and our overall experience was that we will be back!

Really loved that hotel. The staff was kind, friendly and passionate. Some did not speak well english but they try and go fetch some help if they can’t help and want to learn. The food was good. Price in the range of new sri lanka (were everything is about 1000 rp) the room was clean, big and comfy.Only thing is the wave are too strong and it is difficult to swim in the ocean and it is not recommended.

From the moment we came we felt so welcomed, the staff here like a small family. The rooms are amazing. The place is a bit isolated but don’t worry you have here everything, the food in the restaurant is absolutely wow. If you want a place to relax and enjoy a few days  this is the perfect place, I am fully recommend.

We had a great stay at Lankavatara Ocean Retreat&Spa. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very modern with nice interior. The hotel is directly located on an beautiful empty beach. For breakfast you can choose between different types and they are all good! Across from the hotel is also a good restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner.

Modern hotel with nice decor, the sea view room was more of a ‘partial sea view’ as the room was on the ground floor behind a big green hedge. Not worth the price I paid. The ocean is too rough to swim in but the pool is nice. The Srilankan breakfast is good but the lunch and dinner options could definitely be improved. Overall I think it’s overpriced for what it is.

Loved architecture, design, build, quality of build and products. Location on the beach is wonderful. Really beautiful.  Manager and Receptionist speak great English and do wish to be helpful. Juices are really superb.Middle of nowhere down multiple dirt tracks, 30 minutes from Tangalle, food is in my opinion dreadful and I preferred not to eat and drink a juice. Heavily loaded with salt and cook has no idea how to cook basic western food.  Multiple electricity issues with no aircon, WiFi or electricity in my room over days. I was DOWNGRADED from whst I had paid despite manager saying he would find same class room - he gave them all to new customers arriving that day. Room I was allocated was dirty with footprints, toothpaste splash all around top that sink sits on, sun lotion splash all over patio area. Couldn’t wait to leave
