Hotel located in a quiet area with excellent service, we were very well received!!!!!
I recommend to those who appreciate the service!!!!!
Excellent location to close the lake and half hour Adam's Peak!!!!!

We stayed 2 nights end of August 2017 at this guest house situated near Maskeliya in between tea plantations. The surroundings are very beautiful and a short walk up the hill through the tea plantation took us to an amazing view point from where we could see the lake and two waterfalls in the distance. It is an incredible place, one of the best tea plantation areas we visited, better maintained than the ones in the Ella region. Seems less touristic or maybe we were there off season. Less pollution, good air quality. We were given a large room with two big double beds and mosquito nets. Big bathroom with hot water. The owner is very friendly and an endless source of information about Sri Lanka's culture, tradition and music. The thing we enjoyed the most was the conversations with the owner. The house could use some renovations here and there, but we've seen worse in India.

Among a beautiful tea plantation

The owner is clearly a liar as we did end up staying in this horrible place. We clearly have our receipts on booking.com. We were promised double rooms and were given horrible twin rooms without fans or proper hot water. When asked for another room the owner said they were all booked and we were clearly the only ones there.. very deceiving and liar!! The owner says we never booked or stayed at this place when we clearly have our receipts on booking.com and would happily provide them!!

Terribly uncomfortable beds!! Couldn't get to sleep. Awful pillows, no fan and no ventilation. Water wasn't coming out the shower. Spiders and bed bugs. Owner is decieving and pretends to be friendly and helpful. Worst place I've ever stayed at.

Terrible!!! Don't stay here!!

Please do not go here as a solo traveller.
I was the only one in this deserted place so I felt pretty unsafe. It took an hour before anyone who worked there showed up to greet me. When I said I wanted to look elsewhere the man who spoke very little English got aggressive with me.
