Sinharaja Eco lodge

A hotel with a difference!! We loved our one night stay here on our recent tour of Sri Lanka. An unexpectedly long drive from the main road up to the lodge but well worth it. Fantadtic views on the way up. The lady who welcomed us was delightful and took great pains to settle us in and explain everything. We had a fab room in our quirky container cabin - amazingly well equipped given where we were. Food and service excellent here, the young man who served us worked at a remarkable speed!! We particularly loved our guided walk in the rainforest led by the very knowledgeable Jagath. We learned such a lot from him and he had a great sense of humour (besides an excellent command of English). A fab stay and well worth the detour - if you get the chance visit. They are doing a great ecological job here too. Thank you to the whole team.
