Not recommended... We booked family room and it was so terrible. There were two rooms with large beds but only one room with A/C , but not working properly. Other room was without A/C. 😡 It was like a chimney 😡 Also Swimming pool was not clean... Service was very poor.. Horrible place to stay...

Not Recommended... 

Level of service is extremely poor. There's no responsible person at the resort to communicate. This is not a customer oriented resort. The picture what you see in the internet is not in reality. Thinking of selecting this resort to spend your valuable holiday is a nightmare. Would advise our lovely customers not to select this resort for any reason if you want to have a peaceful holiday. Even the gravel road to reach the resort is terrible

poor service and facilities

We arrived the hotel around 3.30pm and rooms were not ready. We had to stay until they prepare our 3 cabana rooms. There were only 2 staff members (a receptionist and a room service boy) to do every thing. When we asked for a tea we had to stay another one hour till a person come  from outside and make our tea. There was no cook available on that day.  They bought diner from an outside restaurant (it's good). The pool was very very dirty and a lot of insects were there. So we didn't use the pool. The garden was also not maintained well. 

The good things about this hotel are rooms are clean and in good condition to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. They allowed us to use their kitchen to prepare kiri ahara early in the morning.
As a summary it's not exactly the same what we saw in facebook(on our visit). If you want a place to sleep this is good. But no guarantee for a nice family outing here.

Good rooms, but other services are not good

Rooms are not clean and filled with ants and service is very poor. Even though web site looks very nice place it is a very horrible place to stay . Breakfast is good and environment is also very calm. Bathrooms are also not that good

Stay at lake leisure hotel anuradapura

Really poor hotel with lousy service. The same 3-4 non-english speaking teenagers do everything from "welcoming" guests to cooking dinner. The rooms are dirty and unpleasant and the bathroom is barely functional. For dinner we ordered grilled meat and fish and the chicken almost ran away from the plate. Nothing was grilled and barely anything was cooked.

Do not eat anything but eggs here

Very adorable guest house with lots of nice and clean cabanas with AC. The staff and the manager were very nice, friendly and helpful. We had a good sri lankan breakfast and an excellent curry dinner. We absolutely recommend that place if you want to stay in the anuradhapura area! 

Nice cabanas with Lake view and pool

Hotel was not clean at all. Bed linen not change. There were frogs in the bathroom. It had rained when we reached the hotel and the floor was wet and looked terrible. The soft in front of the rooms was not clean. Pool was unclean and had plates and glasses there from previous night. Hotel manager was not friendly and when we reached the hotel (1 hour past check-in time) room was not ready and the A/C was broken so we were given a cabana it was the same. I actually wished that I didnt enter the hotel forgetting about the advance payment. Please dont get deceived by the pictures. In reality it's nothing like this

Worst Experience I have ever had in my life!

They have few cottage type rooms in good condition. Food also very good. But their team is not much friendly. These days they are developing their garden. You have to note that the lake does not view from the hotel.

Good place to relax

A previous reviewer mentioned how this hotel has a lot of potential but it hasn’t quite hit it, I would completely agree.
The hotel is located a few km out of A-pura in a peaceful, natural setting with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and A-pura itself. On arrival we were met by a very friendly member of staff and shown to our rooms which were spacious and modern. Ac was good and beds comfortable.
Dinner and breakfast at the hotel (we ate Sri Lankan) was tasty and good value - compliments to the chef.
But...

WiFi was not available- we were told it was coming but it didn’t in the 
three days that we stayed.

There was no tea or coffee making facilities and when we ordered a cup of tea the waiter seemed surprised and then we had half a cup each- and we were charged for each cup even with breakfast?!

There was no bike hire despite it being mentioned on booking.com. When we asked again the member of staff seemed surprised and didn’t offer any alternatives.
(Swiss hotel in A-pura does very reasonable hire on some retro bikes!)

The rooms were visibly clean, but if you moved anything or looked under  there was a lot of dust and dirt. 

Overall an ok stay but not value for money and frustrating as it has so much potential. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, modern and well designed rooms and communal spaces. All they need is someone with a keen eye for detail and finishing touches and this place could be superb.
