A one night stay in this old stone village house, 2 or 3 centuries old but restored sympathetically over more than 20 years by the owners, and with lots of old features. Parking is right outside on the street (very quiet). The room was rather small with two en-suites - a toilet and basin in one room and a shower in another, both small but adequate. Dinner was average to good, and there was a lot of food on the breakfast table, but not necessarily a huge variety. The owners were not English-speaking but we enjoyed practising our Spanish and their manner was very pleasant. Overall recommendable but at €98 for dinner, bed and breakfast, this was not the best value we have had in rural Spain by any means.

Comfortable and friendly

We stayed at this quaint little hotel during our motorbike tour of Spain and France. It is in a very small village so plan for meals as no bars etc to have food in. Our room was very pretty and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

Lovely

This casa rural (B&B) is located 15-20 minutes from downtown Pamplona in Tirapu.  We do not like staying downtown so we chose this casa rural (bed and breakfast) for our stay.  It is old stone barn updated to a home and further updated into a bed and breakfast.  Quite charming.  The owner is a collector so it is full of old clocks and other amazing knick knacks.  The rooms were comfortable and clean and included a common room.  The continental breakfast included three kinds of bread, fruit, juice and as much coffee as you needed; the dinner was homemade soup, tortilla, wine, bread and ice cream. Esther has a soap museum and her free tour was fun.  Making soap from olive oil is her hobby and she has collected soap from around the world and will tell you the history of soap making while she shows you her museum.  Apparently olive oil makes an excellent soap.  Pamplona is located in a windy area so it can be quite windy at times.  Many windmills on the surrounding hills.  Tirapu is a very small community and the rest of the residents just live here.  Food is available fairly close by since this is located near the Camino de Santiago, so restaurants that cater to the pilgrims are available.  If you like bed and breakfasts and have transportation, this is an excellent option.
