Pensión Madrid House Hostel

I stayed at this hotel on a 5 day trip to Madrid. The star rating was particularly low and the cost was at the lowest end of the ranges for Madrid hotels. DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THIS. This is an amazing hotel in the Chueca and Gran Via area of the city: 1. Spotlessly clean 2. Modern rooms 3. Central location 4. Very friendly staff 5. Safe location 6. Comfortable rooms 7. Tea and coffee making 8. Safe in the room This is a top quality and excellent value for money Hotel. TIPS: Tube (Metro): From the airport take the tube with two changes to Chueca. Come out of the tube and turn right walking almost back on yourself and out of Chueca Plaza. The road for the hotel - C/ Barbieri is directly in front of you. Walk all the way to the end of the road (5 min walk) and the hotel is on the right. It is 1st the building. Breakfast: I paid extra for breakfast which is serviced at a cafe on the ground floor of the building. To be honest it was a little over priced for what it was and there are many cafes serving breakfast (desayuno) for only €2 to €2.50 so there is lots of choice. Gay travellers: This is in the heart of the Chueca district for the gay bars and shops (see listings for Chueca district on here) and close to the fashion outlets too. Summary: Excellent hotel in. Excellent location with excellent staff and excellent access to sights and services. I highly recommend and would stay here again on my next visit to the city.
