Nothing actually is here like it should be for four star rating.
The room smells like an old cigarette. The noice of a normal discuss comes through the door between the rooms, like the neighborougs are in the same room.
The half board is total under estimate of the guests. Only the salad is ok, all the warm food are tasteless "cantine" food at the worst.
Never back even the golf course is near.
Three stars at the most...

Not worth of visit

Have just returned from a 9 day stay which was booked through On The Beach . 

This is a very impressive looking hotel at the end of a Cul-de-sac within a  quiet residential area. A large entrance entering into a grand reception with glass windows over looking an entertainment area and swimming pool . 

We had booked a deluxe trip room which we found very disappointing. This deluxe room smelt of smoke , sweat and noise coming from next door balconies  . No kettle, cups or hair dryer. 3 single beds ,wardrobe, 1 chair and a tv . When I complained at the reception I was told a deluxe room has carpet ! We were offered an alternative but decide to up grade to an apartment which was far better on the top floor .The room was cleaned everyday and all areas of the hotel were clean and tidy .

It clearly depends on who you speak to on reception as for the service or information you receive. Apart from an odd occasion all the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Down the curve stairs you will find the bar , restaurant and cafeteria which serves 
the standard continental breakfast, fruits, pastries and a poor attempt at a self service Full English . We personally didn’t eat at the restaurant but did hear from a number of guests that it was hit and miss . 

The swimming pool area is very nice lots of sun beds and table tennis .The day time entertainment is enthusiastic with pool gym and various games if you want to take part . We did watch a couple of Evening shows but are predominantly Spanish so somewhat hard to follow. 

The hotel is 20 mins taxi (€20) from the beach and 25 mins (€25) away from Alicante .
The hotel bus leaves every morning at 11 o’clock  but you must book the night before and there is a charge €10 pp . 

Bonalba Golf and spar is excellent and only is 200y away if want a round or just to relax . There is also a number of small restaurants and a couple of local bars 10mins 
walk which we tried and most were excellent. I highly recommend the Loft restaurant, excellent staff and fabulous food.

The Family Holiday

We went there on our "little" pre honeymoon trip after a week trip with our Outlaws family.The girls on the front desk were so helpfull and wanted to do something special for us when we arrived. When we went up to our room it was rose pattles from the door to the bed with chocolate on the bed as well❤ And champanie, and we got a romantic getaway spa treatments as well 🥰 

But we dont speak spanice and the hotel staff didnt speak english it was a little down fall and hard to order something couse they didnt understand us. I orderd fruts but only green grapes and banana,when it arrived there was melon and pinapple as well. I was not happy couse my husband is highly allergic to pinapples,so i needed to call again and ask them to come and get the fruts and bring only the grapes and banana. The bar manager came with it him self after couple of minutes BUT it was purple grapes and banana. At this time i lost my apitite couse i didnt want to complain again so i just didnt eat it. 


Nice hotel

Pool was beautiful and clean.Sunbeds comfortable however you have to book online first. Its ideal if you want food as you can book a table and leave your towels etc at your beds. Ideal for kids and families. However chosevthe bbq food..mistake...fatty grissly meat, fish full of bones with head on and a few pommes frites. Wine very nice, setting lovely but would choose different food next time

Pool & Food

Stayed one night at the hotel in order to play at the golf course the next morning before travelling home.
Turned up at 7pm in our hire car. Couldn’t get into the drop off car park as the barrier wouldn’t raise and nobody answered when you pressed the button. 
Cars and people everywhere. Left the car double parked to go and check in.
The noise that hit us when we walked in was mad!! Large reception area that goes down to restaurant and bar area and down to the pool area. High ceiling (over two floors) and hard surfaces. People everywhere (They must have had an event on - wedding, barmitsvah, party etc)
Could barely hear the rude receptionist who checked us in. Car park was full so had to park on the street. Got given a ticket for ”complimentary” massage at the spa which turned out to be €5 off (so not complimentary then).
Very funky smell in the elevator and in tge corridor of our floor which was being hoovered so we had a hard time getting into our room. Funky as in strong perfumed odour (not dead rats!)
So upto now - not the greatest first impression - although quite humourous! 
However - our room was great! Huge bed, large double sofa bed, two bathrooms with great showers, nice balcony. 
The pool area is very big and looked great. 
The breakfast buffet was brilliant. 
The golf course was also hard to judge. Great layout, nice features, interesting course. Greens and bunkers in poor nick though.

So much potential here and the important things (room, course, shower, breakfast) maybe outnumber the resorts failings (service, parking, noisy reception, funky odours).

Good or bad - hard to decide!

Went to play a round on the course on our way to the airport ,the course was in a shocking condition, Tees with no grass and the greens in terrible condition .Took us 5 hours and that was in a buggy Extremely slow round the course I know it was busy but 5 hours so a rather unpleasant golf experience will not be going back

Golf Trip no hotel stay

4 night stay for a golf trip, rooms were clean and tidy with plenty of space, no tea,coffee or milk (went to reception for some)1st night we went to have a buffet meal (€24) the food choice was ok but most of the hot food was cold and inedible. Staff not interested with complaints even the reception was not interested. We ate out every night after that experience. 1st breakfast was ok, good choice of food & fruit (bananas ran out quick and never replaced) 2nd breakfast was at 07:30 as they opened, went for a cooked breakfast, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, mushrooms, hash browns. Couldn’t wait to eat, first mouthful I spat it out, the beans were stone cold like they had just been poured out of the tin. 3rd breakfast tried the beans before putting on plate this time, good job too as they were stone cold again. Stayed away from cooked breakfast after and went for the healthy option of cereal, toast and pastries. Cleaning need to be improved, rooms were not cleaned only made the beds and changed towels, Lifts were not cleaned for the whole visit. Asked reception to order a taxi to the restaurants at the top of the road as one of our party couldn’t walk that far, not a problem they said. This was at 16:00 for a 19:00 taxi. We waited for 30 mins to be told by reception that the taxi company would not come for a small trip and there was nothing they could do even thou they had a courtesy car and bus sat outside. On our last day they did offer to take two of our party up to the restaurant. definitely not a 4*

Golf Trip

We have played the course several times on our annual golf trip. 

It has always been in reasonable condition. However when we played it on 16 March this year it was in a terrible state with greens and fairways very poor. 

On leaving the course, we complained to reception. Their only response was a shrug of the shoulders. 

I’m afraid that’s not good enough, we will not return.

Golf Course Unacceptable

The condition of the fairways and greens were very disappointing. Our group played preferred lies. Not worth the money. Investment needed to bring the course up to a playing standard.will avoid in the future
