My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon for a week. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and we had everything we needed. The new owners are always striving to make sure you have everything you need and that your stay is as comfortable as possible and making improvements.  Will definitely be visiting again!

Great views

Wood constructed building - self-contained with everything you need. Kitchen has small cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, etc..
Clean, comfortable and hosts attentive to any request.
Lovely views across lake towards ocean from living areas and private deck.
Surprised and delighted to see a monkey one evening.
Wake up to birdsong.
Lovely.

Hillside hideaway

I loved the place. It has mesmerising view to offer. The location is prime. Very near to restaurants, petrol pumps and waterfront. Very clean rooms and kitchen. The kitchen is occupied with all the equipments and functional. The breakfast is also provided which you can have in your room. The beds have electric blankets too.

We received a warm welcome into a lovely place to stay. Close to the waterfront. The staff and owner were really helpful.

Lovely and Homely

Yes, the place has a lovely view, and a great location in the trees, but there are some aspects that need improvement.
The bathroom for the twin room is tiny and cramped, with the smallest shower I've ever experienced!
The stairs going up to the cottage are very steep, and I found it extremely to climb the stairs. The host asked me  that surely I knew there were stairs. Yes I knew there were stairs, but never expected them to be extra steep, and open, so you can see the garden below, which I didn't like

The view is magnificent, the green location nice and the apartment must have been pretty once.
Now it needs to undergo serious refurbishment, some new furniture and most of all a proper removal of the fungus in bathrooms and kitchen.
To the owner: please return it to its old glory before this pretty place is down the drain.

Views definetaly stunning. 
Big climb on uneven concrete paths and steps.
Room comfortable but can do with a good clean. Two draws full of pamphlets 
dating back to 2001.......
Very small bathroom but functionable. Realy good shower!!!! Nice and hot and good water pressure. 
Breakfast delivers to cottage. Lovely to sit on balcony enjoying the view.
Very ppeacefull surroundings and staff very helpfull. 
Laundry able to be done on premises.
All in all a comfortable stay.

Definately not 4 1/2 star as advertised

I was not happy with the reception from the owner.  She hardly answered emails, when we arrived said she did not know we had kids despite emails - also said our kids must not be noisy or jump or walk around too much as there are other guests!  There is NO onsite parking but did promise to allow us to use the garage but said no when we arrived as her kids were doing something in it.  We asked for an early breakfast which she said she couldnt do and didnt bother to send us with not even a muffin or juice although we paid for this!  We were supposed to return the following week for a night but we did not and drove another 5 hours to PE for accommodation!  Will not return
