Debbie and Lee gave us an amazing welcome. The roundhouses are very well appointed and immaculately clean. The bed is big and comfortable. There is a lovely little pool. The great breakfasts are served in a little summer house and Lee's homemade lemon curd is to die for.
The property is within easy walking distance of all Franschoek has to offer. The area is very picturesque. We can't wait to visit them again and will definitely recommend this property 

Fabulous property and very warm welcome

Personal and great service. Room  and bathroom were very clean and all amenities adequate.  Debbie was the perfect hostess. Happy to offer suggestions for our time in Franschhoek. Debbie put us at ease by maintaining contact on what’s app to provide clear instructions to find them and about load shedding times. Even with load shedding black out one morning they managed to still produce a great breakfast. The nights were very cold for us and if the room heater could not work due to load shedding  Debbie provided hot water bottles which were fabulous . Wish we had booked longer than 2 nights.

Comfortable and great service

Our stay at the Roundhouse was very enjoyable. Debbie and Lee were great hosts. Breakfast was very good. There are only 2 rooms which we liked. The small plunge pool was great for cooling off. The Rondavel was excellent, with a great shower, and a really large comfortable bed. The treats Debbie left at bedtime were also a nice touch. The only slight negative is there was a bit of road noise which did wake me (but not my wife) we would definitely stay here again.

A great location for visiting Franschhoek

This has been our third enjoyable visit and the Roundhouse accommodation together with Debbie and Lee’s breakfast is as good as ever. Ideally positioned for town centre, restaurants and shops. Lovely pool area and great hospitality,  We look forward to returning next year.

Back again

Debbie and Lee were great hosts, giving us the right amount of privacy and making sure we were tended to. The breakfasts were great, and the property was wonderful. It seems like most South African businesses are named quite literally, and Roundhouse is no exception - our room was round with a straw (?) roof that evoked the countryside, perfect for the vibe we were going for in the SA wine lands. There were nice touches like notes left for us, magazines to read, chocolates and a bottle of wine. The swimming pool was perfect for our first day there, and their two dogs were friendly (they provide treats to offer them). Finally, the location was great as it's a short walk to the main street where all the grocery shopping, wineries, and wine tram are.

Great experience

We arrived back in January and had a very relaxing stay. It was lovely to see Debbie and Lee plus the dogs again. The  breakfasts were delicious with a little artistic presentation. A great location just a short walk from restaurants and shops. Lovely comfortable accommodation in our roundhouse. Have booked again for 2020.

Just spent 3 lovely days at Roundhouse with Deb and Lee. Really was like home from home with personable touches and kind treats for my birthday and other nights.
Accommodation was very quirky and everything you could possibly want was available. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked, best we have had in SA - thanks Lee 👍 restaurant recommendations also spot on.


So comfortable and welcoming!

The roundhouses are set on either side of the gravel parking area sharing a pleasant pool area and flanked by the owners property. They are located a 10 minute easy walk into franschoek high street and safely nestled behind remote controlled electric gates. Each roundhouse is tastefully decorated with a lovely modern en suite shower room, really comfortable king sized bed, great quiet air con, plenty of cupboard and drawer space, a fridge and tea/coffee and biscuits!! Personal touches by the hosts such as a turn down service with chocolates and little bed time notes made the stay very personal. The breakfast served by the pool consists of fruit, yoghurt, lovely fresh juice and a variety of freshly cooked eggs, bacon and smoked trout which was always top class. The owners Debbie and Lee are really accommodating and helpful with lots of suggestions and recommendations of what to do and where to go. The big downside is that the property is directly bordered by the very busy main Franschoek road and the traffic is very noisy and fairly continuous. 
Despite this, we had a very enjoyable stay and couldn't fault the comfort of the property and the owners attention to detail and dedication to making our stay memorable.

Well located

Property consists of two thatched round houses which are rented out and the owners thatched accomodation in between with their two dogs.  Accommodation tastefully furnished, good size with tea & coffee facilities and a fridge.  Good hanging spaces and plenty of drawers.  When Debbie spotted my gin in the fridge she put a bag of ice in the freezer box and sliced lemon which was lovely.  Quality breakfast cooked by Lee and fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast.  Nice to have eggs Benedictine with smoked trout.  You should note that the property backs onto a very busy road, the main road in and out of Franschhoek so if you are light sleepers like ourselves you should b aware.

Conviently situated to walk into Franschhoek

Beautiful accommodation in a great location 10 minute walk to high street. Very clean and great decor. Small pool available. Nice breakfast with choices. Debbie and Lee very nice hosts, along with Tia and Bailey ( the dogs ).
