Upon arrival there was no response from the owners when ringing the buzzer down at the gate. Had to phone to be let onto the property and was told that the "TV was probably too loud"!

Lovely outside room with own entrance looking onto a lovely large garden. Very quiet area and easily accessible from the motorway. 

Pleasant nights rest on comfortable bed and a great shower/hot water. Breakfast was very good and both Continental or full breakfast is available with lovely home made muesli to boot.

Our only problem was the wifi. At room 1 there is almost zero reception. One needs to sit near the pool or in the lounge to have decent reception and this is an area that should be attended to. I was not able to handle any emails nor skype UK due to this.

Comfortable accommodation

I had a very good stay with a comfortable room.
The host and his wife made me feel right at home.
The breakfast was a real treat with a variety of choices..
Relatively central location with a beautiful view.
Safe parking and a quiet atmosphere.
Wi fi available.

Good and clean

Stayed there in July and many times before, it was always  nice. Good breakfast, great location in a very peaceful surrounding.  Can recommend the place. If I need a B&B in East-London, I will definetely come back.  


Recommendation

We spent a night at Blarney House, on our way to Durban from Cape Town. The place was clean, spacious, safe and the hosts were friendly (especially the old man). Breakfast was great, they have a variety of cold and warm options - we were impressed. Situated in a very quiet suburb and very close to main roads and N2 Highway, it is conveniently located. I don't really like the dog that's running around but it doesn't seem to bother most people. I would definitely book Blarney House again if I happen to be in East London.

This place is awesome and feels like home. 

Brendon serves a delicious breakfast. Fresh and home made. 

Brendon and his wife are always friendly and very chatty. 
They are very accommodating and will assist to the moon and back.

I hate being away from home on business. The Blarney House experience is something to look forward to and certainly makes me feel comfortable and more than welcome.
This was my 5th stay in the Blarney House.
I would not stay anywhere else in East London.
