A huge 2 bedroomed apartment number 303 with mezzanine bedroom.  Fantastic views of the beach but no balcony, though you could open sliding door and look over the rail, though no actual balcony with sitting area. 

Lovely big infinity pool with loungers and shade with lovely views. 

Nice inside parking with allocated bay.

The biggest problem we had was no internet the whole time.  Also absolutely NO BACK UP electricity when load shedding happened.  No portable lights, no torch.  Pitch black.  Really bad. And with steps up to a second floor mezzanine?   Actually dangerous.  We used the torch on our phones. Very difficult in the bathroom which in daylight gave little light.  No mirrors anywhere in the mezzanine bedroom outside of the bathroom so how to do make up?  Do your hair?  Downstairs bedroom we found one mirror inside a cupboard.  I believe these apartments are owned by The Bay hotel??  Unbelievable.  We stayed for 13 nights prior to this elsewhere and everyone had provisions for power cuts.  They are from 5.5 hours a day to 12,5 hours a day.  Every day.  Yes every single day.  

So my advice is avoid this complex until they can give back ups for load shedding. At least lights for goodness sake.

Avoid as no back up power for electricity cuts whatsoever.  Not even a torch.

Only have positive things to say about The Crystal. This place really is 10/10 and I'm so happy we chose this place for our stay. We'll definitely be back for our next Cape Town trip! Spacious apartments, lovely staff, safe area, 24/7 security and lovely views. Thank you - excited to be back soon!

You won't regret staying here!

I would highly recommend The Crystal Apartments, the apartment itself was huge and excellent value for money. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming too. The bed wasn't the most comfy and there was no full length mirrors, also no South African plug sockets in the bedroom (they seemed to be American? so we didn't have the correct adapter for them being from the UK) - these are minor things though as i would 100% stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

First time in Cape Town

We really enjoyed our stay - the apartment was very well equipped and you were able to watch the sunset above camps bay. The local is very convenient as you have 10 min drive to kloof street and 15 min to either water front or hout bay. 

Amazing stay with stunning ocean view

The apartments are well located at the foot of table mountain (just outside rear patio windows) and brilliant views of Camps Bay (though front patio doors).

We stayed as a family with older teenagers in a neat and tidy two bedroom apartment. This had a spacious lounge (with Netflix TV), a small kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, and two en-suite bathrooms. Access through secure underground car park and lift or stairs.

The apartment reception was manned 24/7 and the guys there were very helpful and friendly (as were the housekeeping team).

Camps Bay is a delight. Nice walk on the seafront (even in Winter). Great choice of restaurants offering a wide range of South African dining experience. Very close to Table Mountain and local sights in Cape Town. About 90 minutes drive to Cape Point.

Lovely apartment in a great location

This is a 4-star accommodation with 5-star views.  The room layout is superb, with fantastic views of the ocean / beaches. However, our room was furnished with worn furniture.  Our friends' accommodation had stains on rugs and furniture.  Staff was very nice and attentive to a point: safe was inoperable/ reported, never resolved.... dishwasher had a broken part, reported / never resolved.  Our rooms were cleaned to a high standard Loadshedding caused all electric services, except critical security functions, meaning A/C, lights, fridge and WIFI  were all powered off.  The rooms are advertised as self-catering, but they lack any basic condiments, aluminium foil, etc.  There is secured parking and 24-hr security staff.

Decent Accommodation in Camps Bay with stunning views.

The apartments are based at a fantastic location in Camps Bay.  Views are stunning and travel around the city is easy from here.  Camps Bay itself is fantastic for dinner/drinks!  The pool/cleaners and security at the property are great. 

Whilst the apartment is modern, comfortable with visibly great mod cons it is missing the basics.  The apartment specifically is lacking a few vital facilities which have been listed as inclusions.   This includes access to Wi-Fi 24/7, our apartment has no rooter and have only been offered a dongle with data loaded which runs out of data and battery daily.  This has been a nightmare to manage whilst trying to enjoy our holiday, as we speak to reception and they go to the shop and take 3+ hours to add data! In addition whilst we understand Cape Town has daily power outages, most hotels have generators including other apartments in this block, to ensure you have power 24/7 but the owner of this apartment has chosen not to take this option which we feel is only a cost saving exercise along with the Wi-Fi.

We have been without power for 2 hour blocks 2-3 times a day, as 3 females coming back to a dark apartment with no power is a huge security/health and safety risk as well as dominating your days to schedule time to power devices or even blow dry hair.  We have also been unable to use the included “free” air con as there is no power to provide this.

All of the above has been fed back on a daily basis and no solutions/apologies provided.

Stunning apartments but apartment 306 missing the Wi-Fi/power!

Views to Camps Bay beach. Self catering set up; We loved the facility, great environment definitely worth another visit in future. Full kitchen at all three rooms we stayed at - washing machine,dryer, full fridge, dishwasher, cutlery - the works.

Great location. The rooms are top notch modern, well decorated, with some having load shedding back up equipment so you can have the best tome even during load shedding!

Perfect Holiday that felt like Home

We booked this one bedroomed apartment for seven nights over New year. We had seen it last year after staying in camps bay.

It's described as a one bedroomed which I would not say is correct. The bedroom is indeed a corner of the room which is sectioned off by sliding doors. The apartment was clean and well presented and staff were pleasant. However if its peace and quiet you are after this is not for you. It was extremely noisy. There is a rule no noise after ten that doesn't get enforced. We were often woke in the early hours and one morning at three am where music was constant.

If you are party people then you won't mind but it was very disappointing. Even though it was new year it was not value for money. Nothing apart from a few sachets of tea and coffee was there on arrival. Every where else we have stayed included a few more amenities when realising we had travelled so far. 

Apartment has a sea view but is still a 15 minute walk to the main restaurants in campsbay.

I rely on trip advisor to assist me in my travels and noted some of the poor reviews but thought we would give the benefit of the doubt. Will be good for the younger generation but not fir those seeking relaxation and quietness.

Disappointing stay 

These are wonderful spacious well equipped apartments, perfectly placed in Camps Bay to provide great views of Lion's Head and the sea. A short walk to the Camps Bay beach, tidal pool and promenade shops. Private parking and a small pool.
