At least my room was very reasonably priced and very good for a three star accommodation: clean, decently sized, with free WiFi, cable TV, air condition and a fridge. This family run business also includes a micro brewery and a reasonably priced restaurant, logically predominantly oriented towards dishes that go well with their beer. Rooms and apartments are located in a separate house so you are not disturbed by noise from the restaurant. And yes, particularly morning views from the accommodation house's entrance may be indeed idyllic, including nearby hills, autumn mist and cows at neighbouring estates. You have total flexibility with reasonably priced pension meals. You are not required to book or pay any meal in advance, if/when you want to take one, you just appear in the restaurant during specified hours, the staff will note that and you'll pay on your departure. BTW, breakfast is not classical self service but the staff, who brings it to your table, is still quite open to your preferences. The homestead (what "domačija" means) is located approx. half-way between Podčetretek and the Olimje monastery (both easily accessible even on foot), maybe rather inconvenient if you rely on public transport. They have some quite big parking lots, but they may still get occupied during lunch hours by "external" guests from elsewhere. Without any unnecessary luxury, this is an ideal choice for more active guests who arrive predominantly for sports activities such as hiking and/or cycling. TBH, this is not true for those interested in spas as the management of both Podčetrtek's spas doesn't like external guests very much. Well, when mentioning cycling, actually they don't have a dedicated room for storing bikes but I was offered to store mine in the owners' private garage. Outside of typical check in/out hours, when there was nobody in the reception, I had to call the reception's cell phone number and somebody always arrived quickly and opened the garage door for me. As for hiking, the homestead is strategically located just beneath the Mt. Rudnica (relative height approx. 400 meters) incl. the "Tower of Health and Joy" with great views of the surrounding area. A good starting point to explore the Mt. Rudnica is the nearby small church of Virgin Mary, only 200-300 meters away. And finally, as you might have guessed, the staff was very friendly. Particularly Mrs. Sanja, who is running the reception, indeed made every effort to satisfy my wishes.
