La Gayole

I stayed in La Gayole five years ago and had only the best experiences. So naturally, when I returned to the Seychelles with my partner this year, I went back to La Gayole. And what shall I say?! We had a fantastic time in this cute, little apartment - all newly renovated and very clean. It's fully equipped (kitchen, washing machine, furniture...) and if anything had been missing or broken, the hosts would have fixed it in an instant. When we arrived the fridge was filled with food and freshly made lemonade from lemons grwoing in their garden. The apartment is situated in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood appr. 10 minutes from the next beach by foot. However, the host offered us rides to and from the beach/town every day (we didn't have a rental car)! In the few days we stayed there, our hosts invited us for freshly cooked dinner and drinks multiple times - we had grilled fish that was just brought in from the sea, chicken, delicious vegetables and sauces... If this wasn't already enough, our host offered to help us organizing our trip even after we left Mahe with accommodation on other islands, car rental etc. and said we could call him anytime we need help with anything. One could relly feel, that La Gayole is run in a way that visitors feel not only welcome, but home where they can have a very relaxing time and get an insight in Creole life and culture. Long story short: 5 Stars +! We will come again!
