I like the people they are friendly and welcoming from all walks of life. Places like Mountain Sawda and Alkhayal park are must visit. Art street, shahada miseum, alraqdi museum , and Fatima museum is best for history lovers.
Lot of parks are treat for children. Weather is pleasent , rains are often and water is cold in pipes.
Food variety is not abundant. Roads are good to travel even with small cars , however 1300 cc and above is recommended.

A place like Abha should be explored with as many days as possible, you can't get enough of it.

This hotel has breathtaking views from the rear balconies.  The hotel was under renovation when we went which meant there was no restaurant.  They delivered breakfast to our room and it was a good breakfast.  The person who answers the phone in the kitchen is to die for - super nice!  The hotel though has a strange vibe to it.  It's probably not for families.  As a woman, this is was the only hotel on our 10day trip where I didn't feel comfortable.  Women cannot use the sauna or the pool.  We get strange looks (more than usual), it is frequented by only men who come and go.  One of the front desk officers was a bit offput by a woman complaining about our room not being cleaned and was not friendly, nor accommodating.  This was a gender thing.  I've encountered it before.  The general manager was very helpful though when we needed it rectified.  NOTE: they don't clean your room unless you directly tell them to.

Spectacular Views

Really nice bit classic hotel. Spectacular view across the valley and good parking, good business meeting room, nice semi-suite room also.  No bath, only shower, but was fine.  The buffet dinner and breakfast was more than adequate, and monkeys were literally running along the edge of the outside of the windowsills.

Pros: excellent location, at the edge of cliff and amazing panorama over mountains. Private balcony enabling watching lovely wild monkeys visiting hotel area every morning. Personnel has been helpful to the extent it could, personal touch by Mr Ashraf is worth mentioning. Breakfast was OK, yet same every day. Chlorine smelling towels, free toiletries and welcoming water bottles/coffee/tea option. Special thanks also to Mr Ali, administrator of breakfast facilities for smiley reception. Due to technical problems with Family room booked online, they kindly offered upgrade to Suite. Routine services (laundry etc) are comparatively cheap. Free parking in front of the hotel. Tasty cappuccino in coffee shop.  Prayer room in the yard. 
Cons: old furbished hotel rooms, broken tile in bathroom; bad smell coming from bathroom. Bedsheet with dirty stain. Problems due to lack of english speaking staff, guess because few Europeans visiting Abha.  In room service quick,yet old sandwich was served.
