An absolute gem

Over the last few years, we have spent our vacations or short weekend trips outside of Romania, to avoid disappointments, but still hoping that one day we will feel welcome and respected in our own country as tourists.

On impulse, I chose Vila Leonida for two spring days, attracted by the pictures and online presentation. And what a pleasant surprise! A mansion full of history, the attention to details, the quality of the facilities and services, the attitude of the staff and the cleanliness gave us hope that it is, after all, possible here, at home, to have a wonderful experience.
The place is a jewel! Kudos to everybody involved in taking care of it!

An absolute gem

We spent a wonderfull Christmas. The dinner was amazing with open camp fire as well as open air BBQ in the yard. The staff is very amiable and knowledgeble. The rooms and all the hotel areas are extremely clean and inviting. Great services. I highly recommend! We will surely return!!

Christmas wonder :)

10 out of 10 for everything. Great location (direct view from the garden onto the Caraiman mountains; if your room is facing the garden, the view is excellent), quiet, extremely clean rooms, very hospitable personnel that is always there to assist. If you want a few days to just disconnect from the crazy city life, this is the place. 

The building has been declared a historical monument and it comes with a very nice story about the 1930s architecture. When you step inside it’s like you are back in time. 

If you have kids, there is also a small playground that looks pretty good (our baby is 3 months old so we didn’t get to test it). 



Best choice ever

Great escape in the heart of the Carpathians, a boutique hotel established in a 1938 historical building. 

It is the perfect option if you are looking for a place with good services, a stunning view of the Carpathians, a lot of good taste, great selection of international wines, good food and friendly staff.

Definitely worth having a closer look. 

Great option for Prahova Valley 

A dream vacation at a marvelous 4 star establishment with a breathtaking mountain view. Outstanding services from room to personell at a ridiculously affordable rates. 
Vila Leonida is a first choice for a serenity experience.

A dream vacation

This was a very comfortable modern hotel set in an older building - our room was large and had views of the gardens. It had all the amenities you would expect from a 3/4 star hotel. 

Being summer you needed the windows open to cool the room. The downside being that you heard all the train noises from the valley below - the ringing bells at the crossing, then the train itself.

We ate at the hotel's restaurant and enjoyed attentive service as well as a flavoursome meal.  The staff were very good at meeting our needs.

If you can manage the train noise this is a very pleasant hotel.

WE stayed here with our 3 years old boy in the appartement. It was a great stay. The cleanliness on the floor may be better, but the rest is ok. The view is gorgeous, you can see the Bucegi mountains in all their splendor.
The garden is also nice even if a small one.

A pleasant stay with a beautiful view

We spent one night at this vila and we really enjoyed it. The vila looks very good, very well maintained, location offers a great view over the mountain peaks. The surroundings are very nice maintained, with lots of grass, flowers, bushes, relaxation area. The restaurant is very good, staff is very nice and helpful. Very good amenities in the bathroom. The only thing we did not like was that the towels were very rough. I prefered to air dry after shower. 
All staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Will definetly come back.

Impressive

We booked 1 double for two nights in June 2018. Reservation made directly at the reception, friendly welcome. Room was OK, not very big but comfortable enough, bed and pillows very good, nice clean bathroom, breakfast OK, not plentiful but more than enough, very good omelette on demand. The view you enjoy standing outside on a lounge chair is fantastic. We had dinner one evening at La Cerdac restaurant, meals OK not fantastic but tasty. The only negative point of our stay was made by some rude tourists that occupied the vila the same period, they had no respect for the others, thinking they can behave like in their home, making lot of noise in the evening/night and also in the morning before breakfast. Our luck was that it did not last long.

Nice experience

We spent 2 nights there as a couple and we couldn't be more pleased.
The pensions faces the splendour of the mountains, has a very well maintained garden and spotless rooms. Apart from the historical connotations that you get to find out once arrived, the rooms are very nicely furnished in a Romanian neo-classical style, flowers at the windows as well! The view on the terrace is also breathtaking! A proper 4 stars pension!
Breakfast was varied, lots of fresh local goodies and staff went out and beyond to please us! Excellent customer service, friendly staff!
Highly recommend!
