Quinta Quinze

Quinta Quinze is a hidden gem. It is located in a semi-rural setting and is far enough off the main road that no traffic noise is heard. It is so peaceful and quite. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The salt water swimming pool is inviting. Our room was larger than many of the hotel rooms we have stayed in in Europe. It was decorated in a rustic style matching the area with open wood beams. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and very modern. The hotel only has seven or eight rooms and we were there after the tourist season ended. I think only two other rooms were occupied. Some type of GPS map app is advisable in finding the hotel, as it is located some distance off the main road on one of the typically narrow Portuguese streets. On arrival you will come to a large blue gate. There is an intercom button near the base of the gate post on your right. There is also a phone number to call. Once the gate is opened you enter into the beautiful grounds. We were welcomed very graciously. A continental breakfast is served just outside your room. There was yogurt with fresh fruit, breads, jellies, jams, honey, pastries, sausage, cheese, and excellent coffee. There is a common room with a well stocked bar that one uses on the honor system. Coffee is free all day. The room has comfortable seating for lounging. Tom, the owner, and Gabriella are gracious hosts and are sincere in wanting everything to be to your satisfaction.
