Lisbon Cosy Hostel

Cosy Hostel was a God-send for me. This spring I travelled around, in and out of Portugal with Lisbon as my hub. I could never have done it without Cosy! Carla and Chaba are the owners and they are absolutely wonderful, caring, friendly and helpful. They create a wonderful, welcoming and clean atmosphere. Everyone I met at Cosy was extremely nice and respectful. This is not a hostel full of young backpackers. Many ages and many walks of like. The rooms have just 2 bunkbeds each so it is very comfortable and I often had a high degree of privacy. I also liked that there are 2 full sized bathrooms that you can use alone while you're in it! The kitchen is clean, orderly, sunny and friendly. The neighborhood turned out to be one of my favorites in Lisbon, just real people and at least one fantastic restaurant and a lovely Mercado across the street. And of course the one stop on the metro to the airport is IDEAL! I really can't say enough about Cosy, Carla and Chaba. This is a real mom-and-pop and clearly a labor of love and they spare none of either.
