Roof over your head, tasty and fresh breakfasts, clean and tidy rooms and nice whereabout. Nothing more to ask for to spend few days in one of nicer part of Poland and Europe. I really can recomend this hotel.

All you need to visit Białowieża

Entering this timber lodge at first feels a bit like stepping back in time -- low-wattage bulbs illuminate a collection of dead animal parts hanging on the walls of the large common-room area, which sports a collection of solid, antique furniture along with an extensive library of field guides and natural-history books.   The rooms are fine (good wifi, but don't expect a TV or a daily room cleaning), and the en-suites are modern and clean.   The location is as central as you could want in this small, sleepy village, and the forest is within easy walking distance.   The lodge sits in a lovely garden, and the resident staff are affable, well-informed, and helpful.

Expect substantial Polish breakfasts, but other meals are not normally catered.   There are nearby restaurants, and i especially recommend the  "Bike Cafe" cake & coffee shop!

Good base for wildlife trips

Clean rooms, private bath, and breakfast.  Furnished with many antiques, very quaint, ample breakfast, eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce, assortment of breads, coffee and juice.  Not restaurant other than breakfast.  Had to look for a restaurant in the village...unfortunately the restaurants were closed and we ended up eating at another expensive hotel restaurant.  A delicious meal, but costly.

SATISFACTORY

What Wejmutka lacks in modern amenities it makes up for in rustic charm and a friendly atmosphere. The rooms (if mine was anything to go by) are fitted out with fairly worn, though serviceable furniture. The en suite was similarly functional. This is, by intent, a 'low service' establishment. If you want your room / en suite cleaned during your stay, or fresh towels provided, then you just have to ask. The poor quality of the towel (off-white, singular) would be my main complaint, and something that would be easy to rectify in this day and age.

Breakfast and dinner were substantial and of good quality, though the lack of facilities for making decent coffee or tea outside of meal times was a minor gripe. The stampede for fresh coffee at breakfast was mildly amusing!

Most people who stay here will be visiting the various nearby wildlife attractions. Wejmutka is very well situated to provide easy access to these. It is also a couple of minutes walk from a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Overall an enjoyable stay despite the one or two minor quibbles.

Rustic charm in the forest

We visited as part of the wild Poland tour, the hosts were very accommodating and friendly and made the effort to attend to my dietary needs which was appreciated.

The rooms were basic but clean and warm and to be honest we were hardly there so it mattered very little.

The food was plentiful, fresh, wholesome and authentic, I’m in awe of how they can turn the simple potato into so many different styles of food.

The interior was traditional and looked like it had not changed in centuries but it wasn’t broke so why fix it, it didn’t detract from the trip and added to the atmosphere. 

I was very comfortable here and access to the park was very close so ideally situated.
