Just been to Eda Beach campsite for 3 days 
- whilst visiting el Nido we decided to take a scooter up to Sibaltan and go and check out “Randy the Man” as described in the lonely planet guide as such a cool place to visit 
The book promised us a unique rustic “glamping” experience with Randy on hand to take us out on the boat, feed us and experience Filipino life
We had an incredible time and apart from another couple had the place to ourselves! 
If it’s luxury your after - this isn’t for you, but if you can challenge yourself to a bucket shower and enjoy the camping experience in a bamboo hut with stunning views and the best snorkelling we have had this far in the Philippines- can highly recommend Ed’s Campsite
Ask Randy to take the boat out to “Randys Reef” it’s the best day with some cave swimming a bit of rock climbing and jumping off the ledge into the water.
Also the trip to the mangroves in the evening to see the fire flies was also very special
Racheal who is Randys wife is a great cook so no need to go off site if you want to just chill as all meals are provided upon request and are delicious  and even their children entertain you with traditional dancing!

Natures Paradise

A beautiful spot hosted by a wonderful family. The facilities might be a little more basic than at one of the sites closer to town, but the service, food and entertainment provided by Randy and Rachel are truly special. Be sure to try the home cooked meals, knock back the gin and enjoy the entertainment. A great base for exploring the northern beaches and attractions (scooter rental available). Randy has over 20 years experience in the tourist industry in Sibaltan and organised tours to Ille Cave and to see the fireflies in the nearby mangroves, both of which were excellent and good value for money. So glad I stumbled on this place!

Truly special family spot

We were very lucky to be the only people in the place during that time. The owner is very accommodating and has even managed to surprise us with a souvenir during check-out. The food is also freshly cooked. 

Family vibe in Sibaltan

I stayed here back in March when touring northern Palawan by Scooter. I didn't have anywhere to stay when I entered Sibaltan village. I encountered Ranchelle (I hope i've spelled her name right) in the village who informed me her family runs Eda Beach Campsite when I asked if she knew anywhere i could stay.

It was perfect, comfortable, basic and so quiet and lovely. The beach is something else,sunrise is well worth getting up for and you feel safe and looked after here. I stayed 2 nights before making my way back down south.

Randy and Ranchelle were so hospitable and welcoming. A real highlight was riding with Ranchelle and thier daughter to see "Binibining El Nido" :) a fantastic beauty pageant, it was so nice for them to take me with them and get a flavor of Philippine culture and life.

On the second night myself and another guest were also welcomed and we drank and had fun with the owners. The stars, the beach, the tranquilly is somethings else here. Best place I stayed at by far! Quite amazing things happened here and you never know who you will meet in such a remote and romantic place.

Finally, if Randy gives you advice where to snorkel, my advice would be to take it :) A great place and great experience.

A very special place :)

Lovely place, lovely people. Felt very welcomed and enjoyed the peace and silence for a couple of days. Make sure to drink a few guns with the locals. Just bring your book and let the beach do the rest!  Highly recommended

Back to basic

This place is awesome because of his owner Rendy. As a diver he organizes the best snorkeling boat trips and you may experience Philippines without crowds, you may really feel the heaven on the earth during the boat trips. Accomodation was awesome, we felt like we are really on the holiday. No resorts and boring hotels but calm and chill atmosphere. Food is so delicious that you will remember of it at your next destination. 

Eda beach - best of the Palawan

What a place!! If you like a bamboo hut on the beach, very simple and quiet then this is for you. Randy and Ranchelle are such beautiful people and they make sure your visit suits you. We loved it here, it's hard to leave. Loved it. Lauren and Stuart, UK.

Perfect Philippines experience

Eda Beach Campsite is a lovely place for those who want to go back to basics. No electricity [except for a couple of hours a day], no running water [but toilet and shower possibility], what does not bother at all, if you see what you get in reward! An astonishing location, the most beautiful hostel owners I've ever met who make you feel at home without a doubt! Amazing food, a cosy bungalow directly to the beach, just waking up in the morning makes you feel in paradise, without even doing anything at all. However, if you feel like getting adventurous, ask the hostel owners and they arrange everything you want, from a massage over scooter rental to an amazing boat trip to the non-touristic places, and what about fresh fish for diner, or tasty omelets in the morning. I would definitely come back here, without a doubt !

Peaceful Paradise

Our stay at Randys place „eda Beach“ was fantastic! It was perfect for relaxing and having a break from all the trouble in El Nido. Can 100% recommend the place!
