We were invited to an academic tournament in Piura and our hosts set us up in this small but very cozy hotel. The owner has obviously travelled the world over and the art pieces in the hotel are all originals, from Africa, Asia, Europe and so on. The area its located in is the best because there are so many different restaurants (Pizzeria, Italian food, Bars, Steakhouses, Vegan/Vegetarian etc) to choose from; there are two hair salons on the same block; Opposite the hotel is the best chocolate shop, pure cacao from Piura. The hotel itself is smart, simple but it caters to younger adults. There are some rooms on the main floor but then one has to walk up the stairs (with bags and all) to the second and third floors. Once you get there, all is forgiven because of its setup. Could not be warmer. There is no buffet breakfast but they have a different breakfast every day. If you need something different, then all you have to do is ask for it. No lunch, no dinner offered. But hey with so much going on in the area, who needs it? The only item I would ask the hotel to get better is the SHOWER... no real good or warm shower... unless its 2 am! I really loved it there and would certainly go back.
