Very nice apartment, good size, with nice balcony. Was clean, had towel and shower gel and heated floor in bathroom! Excellent location close to centre and shops. The checkin process was super simple and convenient. One thing is that there's an office building right across the balcony / big windows so if you're home in work times they see straight into the flat. But there's curtains so not really an issue. The moose lamp is amazing. Overall great place would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We purposely booked a self-catering apartment in order to save some money, given how expense it is to eat out in Norway. The 4th floor apartment was well equipped, clean with the added advantage of a lovely balcony. It was 5 minutes walk down to the harbour where you can find restaurants  and cafes in abundance. The TV worked and the free Wifi performed well enough to stream video and audio. Many supermarkets close by so easy to stock up on the essentials.  Some of the decor was looking a little sad and the the sliding door to the balcony was a bit temperamental . The apartments look directly onto an office block so not too much privacy during the working day. The curtains weren't very well fitting so did let in a lot of light which made it difficult to get to sleep. Overall a success and we would certainly stay there again.

Great self-catering apartment for our stay

Excellent location in the heart of Stavanger

When I first entered the apartment, I couldn't believe my fortune at receiving, for a mere $198 for 2 nights' stay, a spacious and quiet one bedroom apartment with a spotless kitchen, bathroom and a centralized location five minutes from domkirkeplassen and shopping areas. 
The moose or elk head light was a nice touch as well. In fact, the apartment was full of nice touches, from the washing detergent, shampoo to the coffee machine and comfortable bed. 
Sure, by day 2, I had significant problems entering and leaving the apartment, because the door knob wouldn't turn to let me in or out, without a great number of attempts. Management is not in the building, during at least in the evenings, so I was basically on my own. Management didn't seem to care about my troubles either. In fact, I think they assumed I was an idiot by then. 
True, I couldn't figure out how to operate the free washing machine on the lower level of the housing structure. The 'helpful' washing machine instructions in the apartment's guidebook didn't match the actual washing machine in the building. I could sense management's collective groan when I sent them the email asking them how to use the machine. For Americans, I recommend boning up on Norwegian washers and dryers before coming to Norway to avoid upsetting our native hosts. After my fifth or sixth email, management did provide some instructions on how to use the washing machine. It took about two hours to wash about six items of clothing, and afterwards, I had to hang dry my clothes, but I credit management for at least answering my emails. Admittedly, I could have done without the thinly veiled hostility. 
I recommend someone staying in Stavanger, Norway to find a more hospitable place to rent, unless you dislike chain hotels, and prefer to explore more realistic cultural dwellings. I felt I was in staying in a Norwegian's private home. This was a contrast to my later experiences in Norway, which really could've been anywhere in the world. Big hotels are pretty much the same everywhere.

OCD Apartment manager

Be carefull if you can´t receive e-mails when you are in Stavanver, because they send you one at the same day with neccesary codes to get into the house and the apartament. There is nobody from the company which help you about it (by phone, only to 18 h). 
There is no lift, and all rooms are in 3th, 4th or 5th floor. 
There is no balcony in our room (3th floor).
We had no good experience. Stavanger is a nice city,try in other place, nearest to dock.

Not a good option

We arrived at 8 pm off the boat, and realized that it was closed.  No front desk.  No lobby.  We waiting at the door (on an unappealing street far from the main downtown area) trying to figure out how to get inside.  You needed a code.  We learned that when two "residents" both smoking (we were told it was non-smoking) informed us that you needed codes to get in.  So we called AMEX which set up the reservation (which was also guaranteed breakfast included... not possible since there is no place to serve food) ... and they couldn't get anyone on the phone.  Saw a review that this was in the heart of Stavanger.  Not so.  The heart of Stavanger (120,000 people) is a bustling bay front area with great restaurants, and many hotels.  This area doesn't feel friendly, and wasn't friendly for us.
