This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful staff and in an excellent location. It is easy walking distance from the train station and right off the main shopping and restaurants. It is also near the museum which is a must-see. The bottom floor holds a surprise; I won’t ruin it for you and you will have to see for yourself!

It is also close to the museum (a must see!). The hotel is in a beautiful old building and well maintained. I loved the heated floors as it was cold and snowy outside. The lounge always has hot coffee and teas and home baked treats, comfortable chairs, and a fireplace. The breakfast was very good with an impressive variety!

Best place to stay in Roros

Peaceful, charming hotel in the midst of historical Røros with warm personal service. Nice room, pleasant bed and excellent breakfast. The only disadvantage is that for dining, you need to go out of the hotel. But still, this place is highly recommended!

It is my 2nd time staying at your hotel. It is very quaint and cosy being a 17th century converted cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and had a good selection.

Quaint stay in the centre of tiny Røros

We had a reservation at a sister-property the "Erzscheidergarden".  Reservation was made through Expedia.  When we got there the Erzscheidergarden was locked up for the season.  It was raining, cold and  miserable and very difficult to get anyone at the reference number on the door.   Of course, Expedia (or Expedia's computers) really doesn't care and no one at the hotel had the courtesy to contact us.  We eventually reached someone at the Roros Hotell, it's sister property.  We stayed there instead.  Maia, the  front desk person was a delight and took very good  care of us.  The room at the Roros Hotell was not luxurious but was very good.  Breakfast was excellent and the staff was terrific!

Wow, what a gem. An old, historic hotel with so much atmosphere.  I am so, so glad we chose the hotel, with perfect location in the middle of the world heritage center, only a few meters from the main street.

We had a very small room, but is was beautiful. The service and the breakfast was also great.

Highly recomended.

In the middle of the history book

The hotell is situated right in the middle of Røros senter with short distance to shops and restaurants.  In spite of this, it was a very quiet place. There was no parkingspace at the hotell for all the guests but we could leave the car at just a short distance. We were welcomed by a very nice lady who also served us coffee and cakes later in the evening. The room was tidy and the beds were very good.  Wifi functioned well.  Breakfast was good with a lot og local dishes.  There were done good Corona measures. 

The room was a bit small and there was only one chair so one of us had to sit on the bed.  The bathroom floor was very wet after we had had a shower. 

The breakfast staff were talking and laughing loud which was a bit disturbing. 
The breakfast room could have been a bit  more like the environment.

A nice hotell in the middle of historic Røros.

I couldn't recommend this place enough. Not to mention the great location and the nostalgic rooms, the service is what makes me write this 5-star review. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they made our stay absolutely perfect. They also set up a beautiful little crib for our girl with duna and all that comes with it.

Great breakfast as well. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we're back in Røros. Thank you so much!
