This "tourist centre" / hotel is situated in the centre of beautiful Lom (prev. "Fossbergom"), which is one of the nicest places in the entire Norway. Be sure to visit the local bakery ("Bakeren i Lom"), the beautiful stave church and the interesting exhibitions at the Mountain Center. I highly recommend taking a 30 min drive to spectacular Lake Tesse, or even further up the mountains (gravel road, fee NOK 50) to see reindeers and spectacular views in Jotunheimen, up to Glitterheim - with a view to Peak Glittertind. Enjoy. The Nordal Hotel has nice rooms, upgraded buildings and very nice breakfast with great view from the dining room windows. The rate is lower than the neighbouring hotels but this hotel is in my opinion slightly better. Not listed on Hotels.com, but who cares when you get this quality at a moderate rate, Dog-friendly (at no extra fee).

Situated in centre of beautiful Lom, nice rooms, excellent food

Stayed here for one night. First of all, not easy to find the reception. Had to walk around and through the restaurant to get to it. Stairs all ovee thw place. They didn't want to take cash due to not having change. No showergel, shampo, etc. in the bathroom. Bathroom was very small. Overall very basic room. No bedside tables.  Queen size bed. Not for handicapped people. No elevator, and all rooms are on 2. and 3. floor. The breakfast was very nice. Next time we are going to Lom, we will definately find a different place. This was all about getting our money, with very little in return.

Not worth the money

No toiletpaper, fridge iced, poor cleaning, bad sofa, hard beds. Leaves a lot to be desired. Nice scenery here, but I think you can find nicer places around here. I might be back if things get better, but I will check the room/cabin first. 

Stayed here for work

It’s centrally located in Lom. The cabin had relativly new interior, but the bathroom was old and smelly. Guess we had bad luck with the cabin because it was close to the road. The neighbouring cabin was wall in wall, and we could hear everything that they said. Our cabin was the old laudry, so ask for another one.

Cental camping, bad cabin

Location is nice, nothing to say there! But it is 4 stars on the wall when you drive in, that’s not right at all! We had a room with a double bed, to single beds that was put together. Morning after we were apart. The pillows was bad! And it was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. And the floor and other things was dusty.

Motel not hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a private tour. The motel is part of a large complex containing cabins and camping area. The is a pub attached with a dining room where breakfast was served. The room was adequate with an opening window which opened to the driveway where cars parked making it very noisy and no privacy. Our room was upstairs and we needed to carry our heavy bags.
Overall the location is excellent and the river is just out the back, and is central to many walks and National Parks.

Very basic hotel

Rented a 2 bedroom cabin this august. It's a bit dated, but works well for a couple of nights. I think the price is a bit high considering the standard, buy then agian, you don't have to many options in Lom. Small place.
The cabin was clean. The duvets and pillows were old. Really old. 
We also tried the pizza in the resturant. It was OK, but I belive there are better options in Lom.
The one thing that really annoyed me, was the way we were welcommed when we arrived. The lady behind the counter was to busy with her computer to welcome us and give us the key to the cabin. She was probably preparing something, but she could take the time to say "Welcome to Nordal, I will be with you in just a minute".

Quite dated cabins. Good for a couple of days stay

We booked a small hytte for our 3-person family; we had the number #15 that is very close to the camping-car area, and at the corner of the road within the camping. In other words, all camping cars will pass in front of the porch upon arrival or departure. Thus, there are certainly a better location to rent. Still, the room was clean and sufficiently equipped for an overnight stop. There are shops around, and few restaurants for those who might be in need.

Another good impression of the Norwegian Hytte

We stayed with car and tent for two nights. In the heart of Lom and with a variety of alternative spots to install ourselves as we arrived. Facilities were in good shape, general standard is good+. Very good experience. You dont have to use your car during the stay; Lomseggen (1289 MASL) can be reach by walking from the campsite.

Recommended campsite in Lom

I stayed in the hotel, with a private room. Loved my beautiful view of the river and church and town. It was a rainy day which made Lom even more charming. The hotel is quaint and just a couple of people it seems work shifts and do everything at once...a kind of B and B. The breakfast was excellent and served in the beautiful restaurant with a view. Dinner was pricey but also lovely. Would definitely return. Very romantic spot.
