Beautiful historical house in a fantastic location. All the bedrooms are upstairs and mine was a really comfy room and had a wonderful bath. The fully equipped kitchen is downstairs, with the lovely continental breakfast laid out each morning.

Lovely room, beautifully clean & really comfortable bed, great night's sleep.  Lovely outside decked space to relax in.

A fabulous stay

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B.  The home has been beautifully restored and the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are modern.  Our host, David, was informative, friendly , and made our stay all the more pleasant.

Lovely Stay

it's like staying in the room of a palace - a very tidy palace with a jacuzzi and flat screen TV.  If we visit New Plymouth again we'll definitely stay here.  The location is great - close to central, with a gorgeous park 100m up the road.  David recommended Salt for dinner and it's one the best meals we've ever had

Lovely - much nicer than a hotel

Wonderful 2 night experience in beautifully appointed spacious red coat lane room. Fantastic views from private balcony.  Very special location within a stones throw of Pukekura park.  Perfect for festival of lights  and walk to town. Fresh eggs at breakfast a bonus.  David the host also a local gem.

Historical gem

Amazingly cute bnb with warm welcome and beautiful Christmas breakfast. 

The location is perfect, next of the creek and 5 min walk to town. The house has a lot of character and the rooms are special too. There are 4 rooms to choose from, the bigger red coat lane suite is the biggest and has a great deck with panoramic views. 

One of the best in New Zealand. Will almost certainly be back next time I'm here. 

Best in town

Great place to stay, particularly as a group of friends booking out all four rooms.  The  owner was very welcoming and put out a great spread for breakfast.  The rooms were all nicely decorated, clean and well laid out with good bathrooms.

Great place to stay

Our first trip to New Zealand and Issey Manor was a perfect place to stay for the first leg of our travels.  The room was great with a large, modern bathroom and a small balcony.  We had the "Red Coat Lane" suite.  The deck area was a bonus - we could hear birds in the nearby greenspace.  Breakfast is DIY with food and drink provided by the B&B.  Kitchen has a large refrigerator and the usual cooking supplies.  Location is handy to walk to town, restaurants and also to the beautiful Pukekura Park.

Convenient and comfortable

We stayed in the Readcoat Lane Room which is themed to reflect the British Battle with the Maori on Marsland Hill. The history is overviewed on glass panels in the hall. Our room was stunning and very cosy.
Our host David was great to chat with and was very helpful with any questions we had about places to eat and getting around.
The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and a present suprise with fresh eggs to accompany our continental breakfast.
We would definitely come and stay again.

We had a great stay at Issey Manor. Dave was an excellent host.All private rooms have a theme. Our room was Kiwiana and the decor reflected this. Our room and bathroom were comfortable with a high stand of presentation and cleanliness. The shared facilities also were of a high standard. Each morning we were presented with a sumptuous breakfast. This form of accomodation is a nice way to meet new people. Would certainly recommend and would stay again.
