Lovely property in beautiful location between beach and mountains. Easy drive into the town.Kevin, our host, provided delicious cooked breakfasts and was very entertaining with a great sense of humour.Our room and bathroom were spacious and had a lovely sitting area outside.We loved Kevin’s dogs and pigs.

Very comfortable stay. Very genial hosts. Excellent breakfast of fruit, yoghurt and pancakes/crepes followed by a cooked breakfast and toast.Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a large shared seating area immediately outside.There is also a large shared lounge (where breakfast is served) to sit and enjoy tea, coffee, etc.It's possible to interact with the owner's lovely dog and the kunekune pigs.The property is a short drive outside Kiakoura - very easy to get to the whale watching trip

Great host and his dog, great views and walkable trails nearby. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of nice space to hang out in. The host was also knowledgeable of things to do in the area and kind. If you're looking for a classic BnB experience, this is it!

Really enjoyed our couple of nights here. Great facilities, comfy room, amazing breakfast and great company! We also loved meeting the animals. Short ride out of town to a very peaceful spot. Easy to find with lots of room for parking. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

What a gem of a find. Very clean and amazingly comfortable beds. Breakfast was second to none. Very friendly host. We only stayed for a night as travelling through but would have an extra night or two if we'd known how nice a stay this would be. Thank you

We had a fabulous stay. The hosts are amazing accommodating people. The breakfast is next level. We also enjoyed a walk around the property to see the alpaca, pigs and baby lambs

This is a beautiful property, less than 10 minutes from the center of Kaikoura. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast is amazing, with coffee, tea and snacks always available. The owners (Kevin and Ann) are gracious and very friendly. All in all, it's perfect!

This is an exceptional B and B.Amazing hosts, beautiful outlook of the sea and Kaikoura ranges, fabulous rooms and a breakfast that was beyond anything you can imagine.I loved the very well stoked tea and coffee station and the use of the fridge/freezer.It was hard to leave this amazing property along with all it's wonderful farmyard friends.

Very nice B&B near Kiakoura

Really lovely stay, appreciated that the owner personally took us round the farm, so my six month old son could meet the pigs, alpaca's, geese, cows and other livestock, had a lively puppy as well. Breakfast was terrific and the owner was always friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone and we would stay there again.

Appreciated the personal touches

We had an excellent stay at the Awatea Country B&B. Our host Kevin was friendly, helpful and professional. The B&B is spacious and Quite nice - just a few minute drive from town. Breakfast was tasty, our room with bath was comfy, and getting to help feed the animals was fun! We highly recommend Awatea Country B&B.

Wonderful B&B

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Kevin the owner was an ex policeman and was an interesting chap to talk to about the earthquake life and everything. He cooked us a great breakfast each morning and was very helpful. We enjoyed feeding his pigs chickens and alpacas with him. Was a very comfortable house and has a lovely garden with stunning views of the mountains.

Very. Nice indeed and perfect spot for a pleasant stay to break a long trip.Close to the township of Kaikoura with many interesting shops and attractions.Alison, the host could not have been nicer and we thoroughly enjoyed.our time there.Generous breakfast and to top it off was coffee George Clooney style !Welook forward to our next stay.Ver

This is a lovely B&B on a small farm at the foot of the stunning mountains. On arrival you are greeted by the host as well as her friendly dogs; you can wander around to see the chickens, ducks, horses, pigs & llamas or be entertained by the Border Collie entertaining himself by rounding up the chickens & ducks. As part of the continental breakfast you enjoy a boiled egg laid by those chickens! It is only a 5 minute drive into town where you can leave on a whale watch tour, & in another 5 minutes you are at the nearby seal colony.
