The name should have been the give-away but we probably didnt expect the bed to touch 3 walls of the room with one tiny walk-way - only one person could get dressed at a time.  The shower had good pressure but the space was pretty small too and we would definitely recommend that you take your own soap - there was a dispenser on the wall but the soap was so watered down that it may as well have just been water.

A busy week in Hamilton so availability of accommodation was scarce and not much choice at relatively last minute. Would not be my preferred choice in the future. Noise from other guests particularly when they were climbing stairs and when they were shutting [slamming] doors the walls of my room rattled. Very poor curtaining particularly over the door. Disappointed to find window open on my arrival with smokers in the vicinity [too close to rooms] and security issue with window left open during the day after so called  servicing. TV perched on a bar stool beside the bed. Shower attachment needs fixing also folding seat in shower needs a good clean with mould remover. With very little effort most of  these things could be rectified. Car parking an issue on my return late at night. Its basically a backpackers and on that basis you get what you pay for. Didn't check out communal kitchen and laundry facilities.

good location , good value  has all basic needsonly issues at peak periods off street parking can all be taken and ran out of hot water as well due to peak period staywould stay again though as reasonably priced

When i turned down the bed the top sheet had several long black hairs literally sitting on top of the sheet. Someone had been sleeping in my bed. It must have been goldilock's friend. They weren't weaved through the fabric as asserted. I have short brown hair. When questioned the woman said " oh that will be the washing machine. They obviously haven't just come off" I took photos of them. Then all the forks in the shared kitchen had hard food stuck to them. DIsgusting. Then to finish off the stay, the shower in the morning had luke warm water. Not the start you want when you have an interview assessment day ahead of you

Interview Preparation

1. Car parking is very difficult and as the motel was full, I guessed that if I had tried to park between the columns and unusual undulating driveway, I might not have easily got out in the morning.  I parked down the street instead.2. There was no soap left in the shampoo3. There was no milk (even powdered) for coffee or tea4. The room was basic but serviceable and had a heat pump which was fine.

Love this place for what you pay it’s pretty good and they look after you :)

I spent a week in this hotel and it was very, very clean. The hotel is a walking distance from the Waikato Stadium. The rooms are not big, but you don't really need anything more. The manager was very friendly and helpful. I'll go back there any time!

IMMACULATE CLEAN LITTLE HOTEL

I stayed at Microtel for one night en route to Rotorua and while the location was pretty good (walkable to CBD) the room was absolutely tiny - virtually just a bed. There was a shared shower and toilet between two rooms which was ok and I'd give the kitchen a big tick for cleanliness. It was ok for one night but I couldn't have stayed longer - the room was just too small. Nice people though.
