Some toilet buildings are little outdated.

October holiday, caravanning, fair priced

The park was lovely and lots to do to keep kids entertained and it’s right by the beach. The accommodation however was filthy. One of the rooms stunk of sweat, there were splattered flies all over the walls, the shower was full of hair and hair ties from the previous person and the sweeping brush in the cupboard was full of thick dust. So glad we brought our own pillows as well cause the ones they provided were paper thin.  We ended up moving to Duinrell and it was spotless there and much nicer. 

Accommodation is disgusting

Came with touring caravan on cheap acsi rate. Pitches were spacious with ehu. Beach nearby. Indoor pool good. Massive site. Bungalows are really villas. Good shop. Park and ride into Den Haag 10 mins away by car. Site probably useless for motorhomers, unless have bikes. Off season quiet, main season.....could be the opposite. Would use again.

Ideal low season location for Den Haag

Location of the park is great. You can easily walk to the beach and you can easily reach The Hague or Scheveningen by car or bicycle.
The 7 person house that we had was also beautiful, surrounded by forest. We had bad weather but we can imagine that with nice weather you can sit outside in a fairly private place.
The cottage itself was not great. We had the idea to have booked a luxury cottage. Now this is not exactly what we mean by a luxury villa.
 Very basic, everything was pretty much there, but everything is said with it. It was extremely outdated. A living room where a blind horse can do no harm. and the bedrooms also looked very uncomfortable.
Above a dark spot on the floor of the bathroom and in the bedroom a chair that was peeled off so that they would not want it in the cycle.
What I also find very poor is 2 dishwasher tablets and 1 small roll of toilet paper for 2 toilets for a stay of 3 days with 7 people.
It is the first time that we (except at a campsite) do not find toilet paper in the toilets upon arrival.
Info provision (in advance) was also not very good. Everyone went to look for the reception that was moved to the restaurant. We were told that even on arrival and departure we could not get to the house by car, which luckily turned out to be the case, but which did cause a lot of stress in advance. Certainly when you are traveling with a baby and have a lot of things for this.
Staff on site at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly.
Restaurant itself is not very big. If you want to eat here, a reservation is recommended. Food there was tasty, but actually not in proportion to the prices that were certainly on the high side for a park restaurant.
Another positive point: the sauna in the cottage was wonderful.

On holiday with family and friends Booked for two weeks Facilities are good but All members in our group decided to leave after one week due to the prolific theft of bicycles on this site One member of our group had a very expensive electric bike stolen two days into our holiday This had locks on but these people are professionals Whilst we were there eight bikes were stolen in one night The police were very pleasant and helpful and informed us that over 200 bikes stolen in three months The security is non existent one man on a cycle riding around this vast site No CCTV the owners are aware but seem reluctant to do anything regarding this vast problem Even if staff informed visitors to be aware it may help Our party left after one week for our own peace of mind so that we could enjoy our second week without looking out of the caravans throughout the night Our decision to leave finally came when an elderly couple near one of our party had there awning cut so property to be stolen PLEASE Be Aware

Touring caravan holiday June 2019

The site has most things you would want on a caravanning holiday.  Sadly, after a couple of days a member of our party had their very expensive bike stolen, along with two others during the night. The next night eight bikes were stolen.  The management are aware of this and yet do not inform you on arrival to take extra measures with security.  They say they hand out leaflets but we didn’t meet anyone that received one. The police, who were very helpful, informed us that there had been 200 thefts on the site in three months.  It is a huge site, so difficult to police but the camp have one security person of a night and no CCTV cameras anywhere.  One theft occurred outside reception.  It is sad because the site could be very enjoyable.  The reception staff don’t tell you the same story twice and the management just don’t care.  Please take this review seriously, I only wish we had been warned.

Vakantiepark Kijkduin Experience

Lovely site and location however bike theft is common every night on this site. The site owners know about the problem...45 bikes stolen in 2 months..but are doing nothing about it..they do not warn you when you check in...feel very let down as my brand new bike has been stolen despite it being locked up with a chain and could have been prevented if we had been warned. Very poor

We stayed nearby and had access to the park’s facilities included. 

We used the “Den Haag” restaurant which was OK. Some of the food was good (the bitterballen, kroketen and the salad) but some not so good (the pizzas in particular). Service was good but was quite expensive for what it was. 

The supermarket was quite good. 

We also used the pool. The changing rooms were dirty (mostly sand) and a lot of the lockers didn’t work. The cubicles were too small to get two children changed in and the larger changing rooms weren’t working properly (women in the men’s etc). Some strange rules such as not allowing shampoo in the showers also apply. The pool itself is nice but no lifeguard (which for families isn’t good). It was also overcrowded. 

The park looks very centre parc like. 

Ok restaurant and pool

We stayed 10 days with our tent on the camping.  Location is nice, enough space, bathrooms were ok. Our painpoint: far too many dogs. Not just one well behaved family dog- no, there were just too many ugly dogs, noisy and smelly. We' d recommend to have the dog owners in a separate space so that the other guests are not impacted.

We paid top price for a weeks stay and expecting clean and modern accommodation. Instead we found...

Damp rooms, dirty and sandy floor, chronic sewage stench from toilet/show room (so bad the kids are heaving). Everything is dated and don't think it has been touched in 20 years, doors missing, decking in front of door rotten away. Our friends had a separate cabin and there's is in the same state.

Pictures cannot do justice on this hole! If I hadn't driven 12 hours i would have turned back home.
 
I'm off to write a formal complaint but very unlikely we can get money back..
