As soon as soon as I saw this place I knew that it did not look anything like the booking.com photos (not saying that they were brilliant either). The place was a pub/inn I don't understand why it says hotel in the name. The owner was terribly rude and most of the amenities that they offered were lies, no laundry service, smoking rooms? every room was a smoking room and reeked of cigarettes, The closest tram/bus was a half hour walk away. The breakfast looked like trash. This hotel ruined our entire holiday. Seriously, Don't go!

This Place Deserves To Be Shut Down!

Don't go here people. Bad service and food from cans.
Location is nice but you this is a bad experience...
Staff is rude, food bad, and prices too high.
Old lettuce, tuna salad only mayonaise and waldkorn bread seems to be a slice.
You can get better than this.

The only good thing is the kind staff.

Dinner is fine. Enough to choose from.
They served really quick. Homemade cake is also fine.

Some of the hotel rooms need a make-over. You don't want room 203. First off all; 1 of 4 lamps only worked. There is also a little refrigerator with a lot of noise....

The room isn't cosy at all.
They have more modern rooms (we had these in 2016) But I don't know the roomnumbers.

Also the breakfast room good use a make-over. And the breakfast itself also... you get a plate with: 2 slices cheese/ham, yoghurt, 1 cracker, 1 slice brown Bread, 1 slice (corn?) Bread, baked egg, jam, bacon.
You can't choose yourself.

The bad part of breakfast was a dirty spoon I got with my coffee... added Some pictures (clean and dirty one).

It's outside Amsterdam. If you have a boat it's a perfect location. They have their own harbour. 

I would go for a more modern hotel in the city of Amsterdam itself. But, when traveling with your boat this is fine!
The view from the hotel is really Nice.
It will take you around 30/45 min from Durgerdam to Amsterdam citycentre with your boat, because of the floodgates.

If I would be rich I would buy this hotel/restaurant!

Could be So much more

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. 
The breakfast looked recycled and I had to share it with the many flies that resided in the dining room. When I requested a boiled egg instead of a fried one, I was told that the chef cannot boil an egg!! I thought this was Dutch humour until I got a greasy fried egg. Another morning I requested tap water and was told to go to the bathroom. 
The bedrooms were stuffy and the church bells rang every half an hour throughout the night. 
The hotel is too far from the city.
When I asked how to get to the tram, the manager replied with a question, "Do you see a tram?". 
The tram was a half hour walk away and the bus was only hourly and involved a transfer and does not operate at weekends. 
Terrible. 

"Chef can't boil an egg"

First got there with a mate and realised how far away from centre it really was 15min walk to tram then 10mins on tram.however tram ends at 030am.
We also got there early and was told we were too early so we left bags there and went out.we was told to be back before 10pm as we needed to check in.
Just as well we did as when we got to our room it was a double and not a twin as I had requested with booking.com.
Went to reception to be told nothing else till Monday (2 days away) you will have to roll a quilt up and put it between you. 
Which I didn't think was very good as me and a friend where sharing the room.
Food ok breakfast the typical continental. Wi-Fi good.
No bus service on weekends here uber cost us from central station approx 15 25 euros one-way.
