The room was large and with a comfortable bed. It was well decorated and was of a high standard, there was also a coffee machine and fridge. A safe was present but we didn’t feel the need to use it. Nice bathroom with lovely toiletries. Pool area and terrace was well maintained and nice to relax in. Included breakfast was mainly sweet options rather than savoury but the amount was generous. Location is about 10 mins walk from main square and was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we return to Marrakesh

Lovely riad close to main square

This place is a little gem in Marrakech! It’s is a little oasis in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech! Very good location with walking distance to the main attractions. Breakfast each morning was fantastic very tasty and kept you full. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful providing us with maps and directions. We had dinner on the first night we had chicken tagine which was so delicious and very tasty! My partner went swimming in the little dip pool which was really cute! Would recommend this place especially if you are a couple.

Fantastic oasis in Marrakech

My wife and I stayed at this Riad in November unlike other Riads we did not get any help from the owners with directions to the main square but were left to our own devices. The room we had was adequate however the plumbing in the bathroom leaked and as the water would not drain away it dripped all night There was nobody on site to raise this issue with and even the following morning the only person about was the lady serving breakfast Our passports which had been given in on arrival we found lying on the reception counter when we went for breakfast.
All in all a disappointing experience

Disappointing Stay

This was my first Riad experience so I cant compare. One thing I can say for sure is that Riads are more for couples or solo travelers and far less for families with young children or infants. Kechmara is pleasant, with good ambience and a sense of authenticity. The inner courtyard is peaceful, the roof top is basic and doesnt provide for any interesting views. The location is very good, close to an outer gate of the old city so provides relatively easy access to a vehicle as well as easy access to the market and many wonderful restaurants etc. Breakfast good and wholesome. Dinner was a disappointment. The manager is helpful and easy going but the place really needs some additional consultancy on the way it operates. 
I will try to provide some constructive feedback.
Rooms: Beds not comfortable but pillows are. There is limited space, I get that, so there has to be a better design on how and where everything is. There is zero room to open a suitcase unless you do so on the bed. Cleanliness needs to be upgraded. The safe has to be screwed to the wall.
Food: dinner at 20€ per person is way too much, especially since you are charging the same for adults and children. Breakfast needs to be served in a more coherent manner, bringing eggs 10 minutes after pancakes is just wrong as is a 08:30 option only. Also, dinner needs to be served by a professional and not the night guard.
My rating would be a 7 out of 10.

Just good

We pre booked our taxi to hotel and back to airport both were very efficient  through the Riad.
It is a hard place to find on your own.
We arrived late were hungry tried to find somewhere to eat but theres that many alleys it's like a maze you can get lost young men try to lead you astray we felt so vulnerable.
We went to bed hungry.
Next morning we had our breakfast at the Riad stale bread orange juice was nice boiled eggs very basic but okish.
The room well where do I start the sink is tiny the water hardly goes down so brushing your teeth was awful.toilet roll holder broke  toilet seat broke.
shower rail broke we had to put soap behind it to keep up.water was hot though.
Needs a good refurbishment.
Towels smelt and worn out.
Hussain who works there was very nice and helpful. We had a good laugh with him.
Cats everywhere outside.
We managed to find the medina omg so scary the food everywhere  we ate was tasteless being a country  of spices there food had non in them.
We were supposed to stay a week we rebooked our tickets came back home after 3 nights there a place we shall never go back to.
Xmas at home it was thank god there were flights back and we got a seat what a experience.

Xmas break

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely experience. We had booked a taxi company to collect us at the airport and the driver arranged for Said to meet us, which was necessary because, as first time visitors, it would have been hard to find. 
Don’t be put off by the entrance door in an alleyway wall, once inside it is delightful. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly, our room was cool, clean and inviting and the small pool just outside (we had a ground floor room) was very welcome on a hot afternoon. 
The breakfasts were delicious (they even served English tea) and we ate well enough to need only a very light lunch. We ordered a meal at the Riad the first evening and it was very good. 
We arrived in the morning, before our room was ready, but we were able to use a cloakroom to change in and then leave our cases while we went out to explore. 
You can change English pounds into Moroccan Dirhams at the Riad. 
It is only a short walk to the Souks and the night market, even shorter once you work out the more direct route through the narrow alleyways- but be careful, motorcyclists whizz round the bends day and night. 
I’d definitely recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh. 

Lovely, friendly place

A nice riad in the middle of the medina. The decoration is awesome and the personnel is very attentive. The only bad thing is the little corner near the riad, that it's very dark during the day.Nice breakfast.

An Oasis in the Medina

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, we used the hotel's pick up service from the airport and pleased we did as we would never have found it. You have to walk down a few alleyways to get to it. Hussain from the hotel was waiting for us when we got dropped off, they couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is very central, an easy walk to the centre and the markets. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and we ate there one night, it was fantastic. Room was very clean and cleaned daily. All the staff were very friendly, Said (the manager), Hussein, Malika and Najat-Fatima.
There are only 6 rooms available in the hotel so you have to book early. We would definitely return.

What a wonderful hotel

Our stay here was great. The Riad is stunning and quiet. Our taxi driver had to call the Riad to get someone to meet us, as it is a little confusing. But once you know where it is, you will be fine. It’s just a 5 minute walk to the main medina square and the souks. 

Would totally recommend. Although the set meals are slightly expensive; it is all lovely. 

Beautiful and perfect location

Thought my son and i would take a short trip to Morocco while he is on his gap year from uni. We booked this place called Riad Kechmara based upon having read previous testimonials. 
This little gem is hidden away down a few winding alleyways where you knock on an unassuming door which is then opened to unveil this absolutely majestic little ‘garden home’ which is perfectly quiet from the street noise and such a relaxing little oasis. 
Said is the main chap there and he and his team are simply first class. Nothing is too much trouble and a genuine approach to help you make the most of your stay in Marrakech. 
The rooms are all situated on ground and 1st floor level and of course being enclaved in a square setting around a lovely cool, clean swimming pool (quite small about 5m by 3m - but perfect for a relaxing dip)  means that any sounds or conversations/ noises can easily be overheard - however, i think everyone is aware of that fact and so it remains a very peaceful and tranquil place to stay.
The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated in traditional style and also have AC which was very welcome at times. 
There are two levels to the rooftop terrace and both worth going up to relax and enjoy the evening sunset for example or likewise the early morning breakfast.
I would highly recommend Riad Kechmara and will definitely return to this place again and even to say hello to all the little kitties in the alleyway:-)
