I cannot understand some of the very negative ratings.
We booked a room in this riad for 5 days and payed like 10€ per night for both of us. We had a very warm welcome and where not pushed to purchase anything else or any trips.
The room itself was very small and the private bathroom was in a seperate room outside. Could be more comfortable, sure but hex: we got what we paid for and expected.
The service was unbelievable friendly. Not everybody was speaking good english and we where not used to French or Arabic but still we had a very good time there and felt like a part of their family.
Later we booked a city trip which was pretty nice and professional. Also the available food in the riad was just great. 
For the last day we‘ve got an upgrade of our room as another couple was leaving. Free of charge.
Last thing to mention is the awesome view from the terrace on the medina - just stunning.

Excellent

Abdul is a liar, Watch your belongings. He is aggressive and rude. He likes booking.com only. Food is expensive, they dont let you out at night and will tell you it is dangerous so you stay and eat dinner there. He will rip you of at any opportunity. Do not book excursions with him and dont tell him what you have booked, he will just say he can do it cheaper and gets very upset and aggressive. Mohammed is nice. Rooms are very small and dirty, bathrooms are filthy and better not to use.

Dishonest, Rude, Agressive. Watch Abdul, he's watching you!

I stayed here for a week and had the perfect experience. 
The owner Abdul very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my trip was perfect even driving me to the bus station to pick up a last minute bus ticket.
The rooms are kept very clean and a great fresh cooked breakfast is provided. 
If I return to Fez I'll defiantly be back 

Great experience 

First of all, it's a Riad not a western hotel. If something local and traditional doesn't suite your needs, Well stop reading any further and check the local Hilton or anything of the likes.
We stayed for a few nights with our 5 children and were treated like family from the minute we arrived. This riad is nice and clean. There might be a few maintenance issues (broken tile, paint peeling,...) which should be adressed. The amount of energy and time Abdul and Mhamed put into satisfying our needs was incredible. The lady working in the kitchen prepared us delicious meals. 
This place is an absolute value for money and we highly recommend it.

Traditional, very hospitable and extremely friendly!

I have been in this place and I can say that is really clean and cosy. 
We just had an issue with one of the staff , Abdul. We ask for the breakfast ( we booked through airb&b ) and it seemed to be included but when we asked Abdul he ask how much we paid for the room so then he said that he wasn't included but he will make for us for free and if we wanted to offer some money  will be nice. So last day he came and ask : where is the money for the breakfast ? we left an amount that for us was the "tip" but he answered back saying that we supposed to leave more. 
This is ver rude behaviour considering that was for free.
Furthermore is really pushy trying to make you ask for a guide, going to restaurants that he knows ect ..
Despite everything the place is nice and Mohammed another person of the stuff is a kind guy. 
This is just to confirm the previous reference about him that is not changed at all.
