While in Morocco, I was constantly looking for the cheapest option. I think Hotel Zouar was the cheapest I found ( I think was 100 or 150 dirham). The room was clean and there were lots of spare thick blankets, which I was very happy about as I was sick and it was cold. The toilet was just across the hall and was clean. The water pressure was terrible, so a shower wasn't an option. I only ate one meal there. At that time of day there was no choice, so I took the fish meal. It was huge and tasty. The hotel is about a 10 minute downhill walk to the top of the medina and I just took taxis back instead of trudging back up the hill. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. Primarily Spanish speaking. I would return given the value for money.
