Although this apartment was a little difficult to find, I was rewarded with a stay in a really comfortable and clean apartment overlooking the pristine pool, terrace and view "to die for".  Nikola, the owner, is super personable and gracious.  He made me feel totally welcome.  He cooked me a hearty and delicious dinner of fish at the on-site restaurant and even treated me to his home-made wine and rakija liquor (AMAZING).  There is even a beach on the Bay of Kotor that is a mere 100m from the apartments.  Also, within a short driving distance near the village of Rose, is an abandoned naval submarine pen/tunnel.  Quite UNIQUE experience!  Quite a peaceful and serene establishment with a grove of olive trees.  Can't wait to return...

Fantastic Apartment & Owner

This Villa is an amazing property with all the facilities you need. The family who own the property are truly amazing. The food is to die for, Nikoli knows how to impress, his food is truly delicious, and the attention to detail is second to none. Friendly, clean, with amazing views. I cannot recommend this place enough, we just did not want to come home. Try the food and the home made wine and you will be amazed.There is a bus stop outside the property so I suggest you find your way around the other lovely parts of the Kotor Boka Bay and discover what's out there you will be very surprised. Try Perast, Herseg Novi, Kotor, Tivat, Budva old town (not the newer part as this is a bit like Blackpool overrun with tourists and quite tatty) Try the very sandy beach approximately 5 miles away from the villa but on the adriatic sea. 

The village is lovely although not much to do. There are only 2 cafe bars and one small hotel, They serve food but not fine cuisine, so unless you are staying at Villa Mare then the choices of food are limited. There are a couple of supermarkets and a bakery, if you wanted to eat at home there is plenty of choice for you to buy and cook yourself. The village could do with a clean up, as there is quite a lot of litter around and quite annoying as this could easily be solved by the locals and the tourists using the bins provided. Please help to keep this place tidy and develop it for the the future.

Excellent place to stay

We spent two wonderful nights here last summer. A great place, and the owners are extremely welcoming and nice - they even gave us a bottle of wine as a farewell gift. Everything is well kept, and breakfeast is nice if a little simple.

There is a good supermarket close by, which is convenient. The nearby little town of Bjelila is gorgeous. Krasici itself has a couple of restaurants, but is not the most exciting place. I would really recommend exploring the Lustica Peninsula, it's so beautiful and unspoilt!

Great place!

We spent a few nights with Nikola in his den of iniquity in the deepest, darkest depths of Kotor Bay for my 30th birthday. His lack of English provided almost limitless hilarity, and his homemade rakija took several man-years off our group.

I would highly recommend visiting the villa, although if you are female make sure you remain fully clothed and dry, as unwanted advances may occur if the wrong impression is given...

Hjammertvettedt!

Vila Mare (note the spelling  - only one L - as this is how the owner spells it on signage and in brochures: I noticed a 'Villa Mare' on the map that was further east than this property) is a modern, well-equipped villa  which is perched on the hill above the town of Krašići. It is only about 20 minutes' drive from the airport and, as you enter Krašići, is reached by driving up a steep, narrow road that is immediately next to the 'Queen' supermarketi. It has its own parking, which is signposted and is accessed down a steep driveway. 
The villa  has a commanding view over the bay towards the mountains on the far shore and a room with a balcony facing the bay is highly recommended. The property is about 5 years old and attractively finished with a swimming pool, games room, laundry (not self service), bar/restaurant and restaurant terrace. Breakfast and dinner can be ordered from the restaurant but if you decide to self-cater the supermarket is well-stocked and very close by. Our room came with a well equipped kitchen, dining table, sofas, satellite TV, air-conditioning, balcony with table and chairs, bathroom and bedroom. Towels and linen were provided and the towels were changed every other day; the bed linen changed each week. We had a couple of small problems with plumbing that Nikola and his team responded to very quickly but, overall, our apartment was very comfortable. 
What was perhaps the most notable feature was the warmth of the welcome: when we arrived, Nikola, the owner, greeted us personally and in our room we found a complementary bottle of red wine and bottle of water. Throughout our stay Nikola often invited us to join him in a glass of rakija  or local wine, or he sent it up to our room. The chef in the kitchen spoke excellent English which overcame our lamentable shortcomings with the Montenegrin language. We were made to feel very welcome. 
Behind the villa, the road leads up the hill past olive groves and through trees offering wonderful views over Krašići. It is also possible to see Tivat airport from here and it might be noted that several aircraft a day turn over the lake on the way out of Tivat and can be a little noisy - we didn't find it intrusive at all though.
At the time we stayed (mid to late  June), there was very little to tempt the tourist in Krašići but we found it an excellent base from which to explore the gorgeous Luštica peninsula and the bay of Kotor. We were told that the 'season' started in July and that more facilities would open in Krašići itself then: we saw some sign of this as we were coming to the end of our holiday.  It was an easy drive to some of the major towns, resorts  and historical places in the region. Our favourite beaches were on the southern coast of the peninsula, just a few kilometres away but an exquisite 25-minute drive on narrow roads through ancient walled olive groves, unspoiled villages and past hidden churches.
Vila Mare is an excellent place from which to appreciate Kotor Bay and Luštica peninsula and is easily accessed from Tivat airport. It is comfortable and the owner is helpful and hospitable. I would recommend it.

Never became tired of the view!

It took us a long time to find the Villa Mare on the Lustica peninsular about 10k from Tivat as the directions were not clear, but it was worth it......the views from our balconied huge apartment were beautiful overlooking the Boka and surrounding mountains.  Nothing was too much - Nikolai the owner provided us with a free local liquer upon arrival (and at breakfast too!!) and his assistant who spoke good English was lovely.  The villa was spotless and the terraced areas beautifully paved + had a nice small pool although a little cold.  The breakfasts were very generous and dinner cooked to order.   It was set on a steep slope and the waterfront promenades were generally faded and needed rebuilding which was a little disappointing.
