This place is absolutely amazing!!   We travel often and I would be hard pressed to think of any hotel we have stayed in higher.  From the well maintained facities to the wonderful staff.  The manager is by far the most accommodating we have seen!

 Casa KalMar is just magical. The views are spectacular and the hotel is designed with exquisite taste. Silvia and her team could not be more welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were so good, we didn’t eat again till dinner. And there’s a happy hour so you can watch the sun set. Note that to get to the beach, if you don’t have a car you have to walk up and down several flights of stairs built into the hillside. We enjoyed the walk as it’s through a very lush wooded area, but it may not be fore everyone.

Gorgeous spot and hotel

Casa Kalmar was my special treat to myself on my first solo trip, and it was incredibly wonderful. Zipolite is amazing and very chill, and the view from Casa Kalmar is gorgeous. You don’t even want to leave the pool! Silvia and her team were always available if needed, and had lots of recommendations for me. I loved my stay there and highly recommend!

Loved!!

I'm quite indifferent to hotels, I.m comfortable enough if it's clean, tidy and good WiFi. But KalMar was something really special. Not only beautiful, great location, great care... but those views! Watching whales from a swimming pool in the mountain was superb. Don't miss it.

Absolutely stunning

We stayed at CasaKalmar from the 29th Dec to the 9th Jan.
The location and place is exceptional. Just breath-taking views and an oasis of calm the minute you arrive.
Silvia runs the place and is the best host I’ve ever come across. She’s knowledgable and has great taste being Italian!
Her recommends were spot on, she booked us trips and they also have snorkels, parasols got the beach, games etc so all is taken care of..

Breakfast was amazing too. Each day the lovely ladies prepare fresh a lovely breakfast including fruit, yoghurt and a delicious granola to start and then a different Mexican breakfast, heuvos a la Mexicana, rancheros, omelette sometimes. All deliciously prepared. We even had a homemade quiche one morning I believe Silvia made which was exceptional.
The room we had was just perfect, great size, small terrace but the view was just spectacular. Watching the sunrise from our beds over the beach and rolling waves was something I will hold in my memory forever. Until I return next year anyway!
Whales sometimes go past and you see them from the pool area in the right season.  
There is only one thing. There are 189 steps to go up from the beach, not for the faint hearted!

All in all I haven’t the words to express how much we loved it here and in particular Silvia’s warmth and hospitality in true Italian Mama style really made it for us. We will be back. X xx

Perfection in Zipolite

Check-in and care from Sylvia was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom worked without a hitch. The A/C was a great comfort. We loved having access to the Inifnity Pool. 
I was initially hesitant to stay on a hill that was a 10 minute downhill walk to the beach (and uphill from the beach), but in fact, when I return to Zipolite, I will only want to stay at Casa Kalmar. I found the walk energizing, although if you have a disability that affects mobility, this location wouldn't be advised. And the main strip by the beach can be quite loud and busy even late into the evening.

This place is magic! From the moment you step in to Casa Kalmar until you leave. Very clean, stylish, friendly, relaxing and quiet. Also the staff make you feel very welcome and like you’re at home. I would recommend this place to any friend.

Fantastic place 

I stayed 3 days at Casa Kalmar and i can absolutely recomend it. The location is spectacular, the rooms are great and the service is very good with a gorgeous breakfast included in the price. Silvia the manager of the place is taking care of the guests making them feel at home! 10 points out of 10 for this place !

Staying at Casa Kalmar

This is by far the best place I've stayed in. Silvia the manager made absolutely sure we were comfortable and happy during all our stay. There were dogs and cats who are very friendly. The dogs take you to the beach, play with you, take care of you. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel has a fridge and a kitchen if you like to cook. 

The rooms have a great view and are clean, the beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is small, clean and functional. No AC, but a ceiling fan and the breeze from the ocean. 

Would return a million times.

Found paradise in this hotel

This place has 3 guest rooms all facing an infinity pool that faces the Pacific Ocean. I could stay in that pool all day! Silvia was a wonderful host who made me, a solo traveller, feel welcome. A fresh breakfast greeted us each morning, the rooms were clean and the wifi was good. No air conditioning but the ceiling fan was more than enough. The place is a bit of a walk to Zipolite but it's kind of nice that way. Great place for a very reasonable price (they charged less for single occupancy, which I love!). I hope to come back someday soon.
