Summer Island Maldives Hotel

We initially came to the Summer Island Resort in the Maldives for 10 days to obtain a brief and quality relaxing holiday as I am engaged in Regulatory Risk Reporting in the UK and my agenda is significantly demanding. I was immediately fascinated by the magnificent location of the resort ranging from turquoise blue waters and white sands spreading across the island surrounding a truly exclusive wild nature life, picturesque scenery and an exquisite selection of greenest flora. The Resort warmly welcomed us with our arrival and exhibited professionalism, exceptional service, attentive attitude and positively energetic behaviour towards meeting our needs on a routine basis. I am specifically impressed by the overall excellency, enthusiasm and commitment to diligence- ‘an exceeding guests expectations approach’ demonstrated on behalf of the entire staff at the Resort ! One day a minor casual accident occurred with my mother whereas a needle fish bit my mother’s forehead living some of its teeth inside, a situation which required an immediate medical attention. The Resort immediately engaged the onsite medical doctor at the clinic to attend the circumstance who performed a very diligent medical procedure to remove the fish’s teeth from my mother’s forehead. The Resort General Manager consequently responded with adding a ‘pro bono lunch’ to our half board package so she may proceed with taking the necessary antibiotics. Furthermore, the entire professional staff from the Samuga restaurant and Nevi bar were attentive to the situation engaging in room service. I am specifically grateful to Zameer from the restaurant, Vinu as the Food & Beverages Manager at the resort and supervisors Bizu and Kumarasinghe from Nevi Bar who were consistently exhibiting professional care and dedication in fulfilling the daily specifications. Furthermore, I am specifically impressed by the quality of service on behalf of the entire Reception team under the Front Office Management/ leadership of Naif, who demonstrated consistency, value added service, energy, responsiveness, understanding and flexibility in addressing the underlying requirements. This competency, strong work ethic, positive attitude and brilliant insight on behalf of the entire professional staff became evident during the coordination and effective execution of the 10th Annual Summer Island Resort Anniversary, whereas the functionality and collaborative management transpired in impactful teamwork, positive engagement and inspirational leadership- 10 out of 5 Stars ! Specific ‘thank you’ to the Reservations Team, in particular Abdulla Ahzam for being extremely efficient and accurate with the reservation details, demonstrating an insightful level of punctuality, commitment to excellence and flexibility related to the sequence of requirements in scope of the reservations confirmation process ! I have visited a significant number of Maldivian Resorts, inclusive of designated 5- Stars Resorts and am aware of what comprises an exclusive holiday package ! Nevertheless, the unique combination of magnificent scenery, exquisite cuisine, wild nature life and extraordinary service encountered in the Summer Island Maldives Resort has converted our holiday into a most memorable and truly exceptional one !!
