I had a great stay here initially, great location, ok room until I woke up the next morning covered in bed bug bites. 

There was no one at reception in the morning after waiting and trying to ring the bell, I called and got a non committal response saying they'd be their soon with no timeframe, had to wait around for over two hours before he finally got back. I got a refund for the next nights stay and found a cheaper place close by without bed bugs. No apology from the owner or acknowledgement of the problem. Beware!

Bed bugs galore

If your looking for a perfect little guest house located right next to the river and extremely close to the famous Jonker Street then look no further!! The place is immaculately clean with a lot of thought gone into it and no expense spared to make it a comfortable place for guests to relax and enjoy their stay!! 

The beds are comfortable, the pillows are fresh and good quality and you have both a ceiling fan and air con in your room which is a nice touch. There is a fridge/freezer to store any food you may have, free tea & coffee all day long, free filtered drinking water and a toaster to use at your leisure. There is also a washing machine you can use for 6rm including detergent. All in all, a great stay...... I would highly recommend!!

Amazing little guest house in the heart of Melaka!!

Maybe the best value for your money in all Malaysia. Even though I had the no-window room it was big, super clean, and very comfortable. Air con and WiFi works perfect. Super clean bathroom and kitchen, hot water, cheap laundry. If I had the chance to make a long stay in the city this would be my home. Came back twice already!

Best backpacker option by far

Good room for the price, though not the nicest staff. It is a bit complicated to find as the address in Google Maps doesn’t correspond to the one they give in Booking or Agoda, so just ask them the exact address before going, it’s a small door in the middle of a street and it’s easy to miss.

Ok for a night

Stayed here for one night. The location is 10/10, right in the middle of the old part of Malacca. 5 minutes walk from the Dutch square, 2 minutes from Chinatown. 
The room is very basic, but clean. The shared bathroom and toilets were also clean. Good value for money. 

Cheap and Cheerful. 

Great value for money and ideal for backpackers. While city centre guesthouses are always full, this one is quiet, very clean, well-equipped and just 5 minutes walking from Jonker Street. Very helpful staff.
