Central Lodge

If you travel alone and you want to save money, this hotel is the perfect choice. You can choose between stay in a hostel with the others or stay in a private room. It is quite cheap compared to stay in a hotel for one night.

Central Lodge is located few minutes walk from KL Sentral and you can't have a better location than this in KL.

This isn't a hotel but you can get dorms and separate rooms with common bathroom and toilet.

The property is just okay and cheap. Better than most of the hostels in ChinaTown as you have a private room for yourself.

Also serves free breakfast in morning.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights while in KL, the location is perfect just a 3 min walk to the station! 
The staff were great, really friendly! We chose to have a/c so we didn't have a window, which was strange but it was fine for the price we paid! 
I would defo recommend this place for a short while in KL

PRIVATE ROOM WITH SHARED BATHROOM

Better than a hostel at perfect location

Great location!! Lovely staff!!

We do enjoy this kind of private room with decorations. Although this lodge only has shared bathroom, we do enjoy this kind of accommodation. This room does not provide tissue paper but only used in the shared bathroom. And yet you need to have effort to climb up the stairs to the lift (elevator) to the lobby. 

Provide private room, shared bathroom 

The beds had literal bricks under them. The aircon dripped. Location wise it's near a metro, near a supermarket, near a bus stop, so that's a bonus. The showers were good water pressure however were unclean. It is very cheap but we have had the same price and recieved better quality.

Uncomfortable

The bed and the sheets are dirty. There aren't towels for shower. The toilet was dirty. The lift can't use at night, and the hostel is in the 4th floor. There is a Seven Eleven supermarket across the street.

Hostel dirty

  Can't even give one star for cheat hotel staff like this. Worst hotel/hostel in my life!!!

Short version
Staff is a big cheater. Sold room to walk-in guest and keep the money for himself. 
Room show while checked-in and real room you have to stay is not the same.
Room that we stay is worst than my storage.
Checked in at 21:30 and force to leave at 5:30 a.m 
Can't left the bag in the storage.

Long version.
First we are walk-in guest. I quickly look online that this hotel has a room available but the web-site need my credit card info to complete the booking since we are close to the hotel we decide to walk-in instead. (Which turned out, it's the worst decision in my entire backpacker life). 

We took the elevator up to the hotel, talked with the male reception (or just hotel keeper, I don't know as it was 21:30 already) He told us he had a room for us and show us the room (double room with a bunk bed) for 50 MYR. We agreed as we just need the bed for a short night and we will leave to Malaka tomorrow morning. He told us the room is not ready yet as the upper bed not made so he told us to go out and find something to eat so he can prepare the bed. Ok we went out for a dinner and walk to the station, prepared thing for our trip tomorrow. We came back at 1:00 AM. 

The reception told us that he can't not give us a room as the hotel is full???? He moved us to another room which  looked like a storage room and told us " he was prepare a bed for us" At that time we have no choice, in the middle of the night either here or out in the street looking around for the room with the backpack it not cool! He told us he will wake us up at 5:30 am and we had to check out .what?? We tried to negotiate to leave our bag their and come to get it after visiting Batu Cave. But the answer still no.  

The room he gave us is like a storage roon, we had 2 small bed laying on the floor along with pieces of electric fan and empty bunk bed.

Bed sheet, pillow smell own like never wash we have to put our clothes to cover it. I got bite by the bed bug too! 

Air conditioning is always at 31 degree, can't adjust and so noisy like you hear the rain all the time. 

Hight light, We got kicked out at 5:30 am and ended up pay 60 MYR (he asked 10 more from my husband when we go to deal with him) for 5:30 hours stay in side thus hotel. And the room he gave to us before we moved has no guest at all!!! 

We thought that he keep all the money for himself that why he can't let us use the room and force us to leave early because he don't want his boss and his colleague to know that there are 2 more guest stay last night. 

We complained to him directly but seem like he didn't care much as he know we will leaving to another city soon. 

For us as we travel around Asia and stay in and out the budget hotel/ hostel / guest house all the time. This hotel is the worst hotel in my life!! 

I feel like the management don't know what happened so I want to contact with the management too complain about this situation too as I want them to know that all their benefit gone because of this staff.



DO NOT STAY HERE! worst staff ever

Do not stay here! It stinks of damp as soon as you go in, the place is dirty and I had many bites when I woke up. I was disturbed twice by creepy staff member who followed me to the shower and toilet.

Awful

The location was incredible!
The room itself felt like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time, the bedding which was given was itchy and uncomfortably dirty. 
The bathrooms were awful and all you could hear was the local men (who are always in there using them) spitting and gargling constantly.
One or two of the bathrooms didn't lock. The place was always crawling with local men, I wouldn't feel comfortable being a female here alone.
