4 csodás, teljes napot töltöttünk Jordániában, Obeid szervezésében.

Ebből 2 éjszakát itt, a saját beduin campingjében.
Hangulatilag, helyileg csodaszép. A szobák kellően felszereltek. És, ami a legfontosabb, brutál finom ételeket kaptunk reggelire, ebédre és vacsorára. Tea is 10/10.

A szállásról indult saját szervezésű sivatagi dzsiptúra is, mely során gyönyörű helyeket láthattunk Wadi Rumban.

We spent 4 wonderful full days in Jordan, organized by Obeid.

2 nights here, in his own Bedouin campsite.
Atmospherically, locally, it is wonderfully beautiful. The rooms are equipped. And, most importantly, we got brutally delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tea is 10/10.

A self-organized desert jeep tour started from the camp, during which we saw beautiful places in Wadi Rum.
It was a pleasure!

Jordan trip

We had a more than a week-long trip in Jordan, where the entire program was organized by Obeid. Thanks to his connections,  experience and organization skills we got to amazing places - I'm sure we could have seen only a part of them on our own.
At the end of our trip, we spent a few days in his desert camp (Obeid's Bedouin Life Camp) operated by his family, where we could get in touch with their traditions, food and hospitality in perfect conditions.
Thanks to the friendly, helpful attitude of the locals and Obeid's ability to find a solution for everything we felt safe the whole time - despite the surrounding war situation…

Perfect base to discover Jordan

We stayed at Obeid's camp for a few nights (and traveled with Obeid all around Jordan) and it was amazing! The camp itself is equipped with all the amenities you can imagine, definitely not what I expected from a camp in the desert. Obeid himself is extremely kind and patient, it was a very nice experience traveling in Jordan with him.

Amazing camp in the Wadi Rum desert reserve

A family Business based on providing a great experience and service to guests.  We enquired and then booked in July and the owner gave clear options/prices and we decided to do the full 6 hour jeep tour including lunch and overnight camp stay. When the time came for our trip in Nov 2023 we were picked up at the visitor centre by the youngest son Mohammed.  Such a nice guy and great hospitality.  Also a great jeep tour and evening meal (cooked in an underground oven).  Would recommend to all. Also don't let what is happening outside of Jordan delay or make you cancel going.  The Jordanian people are all warm and welcoming.

Obeid’s Bedouin Life Camp stay Nov 2023

Family-run business with great hosts and great communication via e-mail and WhatsApp. Our guide was Mohammed, one of Obeid's sons. He picked us up from the Visitors center and we had a great time with him. There was also a great cook. Food was delicious: breakfast, light lunch, and we was very nice (and tasty) to experience their way of preparing dinner underground). Great room, clean with desert views, nice matress and blankets with private bathroom, which had even hot water. We did the 4 hour jeep tour and next morning the balloon trip with Royal Jordan which Obeid/Mohammed booked for us. Mohammed even let us drive in his car for a while on our request. Super!

We had a great time

It was an amazing, welcoming experience and just an overall amazing time. During our time spent at the camp the owners only cared about the guests, the whole camp is very clean, breakfast lunch and dinner were all delicious and filling. If you want a traditional Bedouin experience, then I could only recommend coming here.

If I could give our experience 10 stars, I would. Obeid and his sons, particularly Salem, made our trip to Jordan amazing and easy. We were a family of 7 (2 grandparents; 2 parents; 3 kids aged 9-12) and we stayed in 3 rooms (cave room; double; triple). Obeid and his 3 sons were wonderful hosts. They were attentive and thoughtful and very, very nice. We felt well taken care of the entire trip and having Obeid plan it was much more tailored, cost effective, and authentic than the tour companies. We can't say enough about our experience and would recommend Obeid, his family, and his camp to anyone! 
We emailed Obeid, and he arranged our entry into Jordan (at the border crossing in Eilat) which was a huge help,  a van to drive us to/from the border to Wadi Rum and Petra, a desert "jeep" safari and a camel ride. Wadi Rum is about 1 hr from the border, and our van was met in the parking lot by Salem. He then drove us 15 min in truck to the camp. After a light lunch (pita and a few salads), we took a 3 hr desert safari. For this and the drive to/from camp, we were sitting on benches in the back of a truck. It was very fun and never felt dangerous. The landscape is amazing, and our time on the safari flew by. We made several stops to popular photo ops and rock formations. After the jeep safari, we had a 1 hr camel ride from the camp. This was difficult for the grandparents, so we probably would not recommend it for older people. But we all had great time. Dinner at the camp was an amazing Zarb cooked underground and was one of the best meals of our 2 week trip. It far exceeded expectations and really made for a great end to an amazing day.  The tents were comfortable with lights and bathrooms. There was hot water. The cave room was super cool and also had an outlet to charge our devices (otherwise charging was in the main/dining tent). They gave us lots of blankets as the temperature was in the upper 30s. The next day we had a light breakfast (pita, eggs, salads and traditional cheeses) before riding out to our van that took us to Petra for the day and then back to the border.  Everything was smooth and easy! It really lived up to everything we hoped our trip would be. Thank you Obeid for a great time and wonderful family memories!

10 Star - Best Family Camp Experience

My stay at Obeid's Bedouin Camp was the highlight of my trip to Jordan. The camp is situated in a beautiful part of the Wadi Rum reserve, and the hospitality of the family and staff is spontaneous. Obeid's direct communication with me started before I left for my trip, and he and his family were always accommodating. They  made me feel right at home when I arrived at the camp, having picked me up from my hotel in Aqaba. The kettle was always on, and the zarb dinner, prepared in the traditional manner, was so good. 
The jeep trip through this awesome desert was incredible with the driver and guide Salem, one of Obid's sons, sharing his knowledge of the desert and of the Bedouin way of life and culture. He brought fun to the experience with his love of music, which was infectious, with the radio playing what I called Jordanian rock and roll as we drove through the desert.
The room was beautifully furnished, spacious, warm, and comfortable with good wifi. 
I highly recommend this camp for the generous family who run it and for the welcoming, relaxed, and authentic Bedouin experience they provide. 

This has to be the best camp in the Wadi Rum desert.

With  traditional authentic rooms that make you feel at home.
The bed is very comfortable and clean.
The private bathroom is with all the comfort that you need.
Obeid an this family give you a feeling like at home.
There is a special dinner which is made in the ground,
and very tasty.
The area is very quite, good to relax and escape from busy cities.



Comfortable, cosy , friendly atmosphere

We spent one night at Obeid's camp and it was simply lovely. He has built the facility over the last 20 years into an authentic haven for your trip to Wadi Rum. We traveled as a family and the quad room was perfect for the 4 of us. Obeid is a great communicator and sent photos of both his sons who'd meet us at the reception center. Mohammad immediately recognized our car upon entry and given we had a 4WD he led us to the camp in a pretty awesome drive. Obeid arranged for us a 2 hour jeep tour and then a great camel tour the next morning. The food was great. There is electric in every room and there are normal, simple bathrooms with flushing toilets.  Note that Obeid is also a terrific tour or trekking guide and can arrange pretty much everything for you (though we didn't use him for these services). I highly recommend his camp for an authentic Bedouin experience.
