First off, the location of this hotel is great. It is less than ten minutes away by foot from Kokura Station with a MacDonald's, a Starbucks, a Yoshinoya, and many many more restaurants and shops along the way. The building and facilities look pretty new, and the rooms are very clean. I used a double room, which was quite small, but nothing I hadn't seen before in other Japanese budget hotels. The breakfast buffet was great and filling. The staff were very friendly as well. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit the area again.

Stayed one night for Mojiko night scene. It is located in the shopping arcade with 10-minute walk from the train station, and walking distance to most of the attractions.  Members of staff are not good in English, but still polite and helpful. Provides FOC buffet breakfast at the lobby restaurant, many choices but the restaurant is too small to accommodate all the guests.

I arrived early and got a weird first impression. I arrived during cleaning time when the lobby was dark. They have no phones, and they don't clean your room on a multi-night stay unless you ask them to. I also think it's supposed to be Ile Inn, not Ail Inn.

But then I realized it's a business hotel. Of course they're shut down during the day. Hardly anyone uses the phone in a hotel, so of course they don't have them. Clean towels and nightshirts were provided outside the room in a plastic bag, so I really had no complaints about the rooms not being cleaned every day.

There was wired and wireless internet and the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly helpful.

The hotel is located near the quiet end of a busy shopping arcade. It's also very close to the castle and Riverwalk Kokura if you want to do some fancy shopping.

The breakfast was quite a layout and probably some of the best hotel buffet food I've had.

Great hotel in every way

Great value in many ways

Weird first impression but a great stay.

Ok first Kokura, and the area where the hotel is. Well basically it was the least interesting place I've been in Japan. I would really advise you to go somewhere else unless forced to as I was.
Second, the room. Bed is comfortable, nothing to complain here, just the usual one very thin pillow that's a little bit too often here.
But what truly shocked me was about the breakfast. It's from 6.30 to 9.30. So they basically tell you to go down last at 9 so obviously you can have time to take your breakfast. I came down at 9.00 (by the way I did because the elevator was blocked a few minute by the cleaning staff, left the room at 8.55). I forgot the ticket so ask at the office if that's ok or if I have to go back to the room to get it. That's when a manager come to tell me it's 9 so it's too late. Albeit the cleaning staff and one of the guy at reception seems all very nice, it's too bad that it's the manager who looks like he hates the job he is doing. But hey maybe he just really had a bad day ! Even the all ambiance of the hotel is weird with warnings showed everywhere about not hanging the close on the air conditioning, not smoking, not throwing anything in the toilet... Also something I've never seen anywhere else apart for the usual (and usefull) don't shower with the door open seen almost everywhere in Japan.
Ps : This is only the second time in my life I leave a bad review. That should say something !
