Hotel Az Mie Nabari

I stayed here in summer whilst visiting family in Japan. Nabari is a small town, so there is not much choice of hotels but I picked a good one. It is convenient for the train station - walking distance, but not with heavy bags and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The staff and proprietors only have a little bit of English (and I have even less Japanese), but they were all very friendly and made me feel welcome. Rooms are typical of this type of Japanese hotel - small, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Facilites include TV, small fridge, air con and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was tiny but I was very happy the shower was scalding hot and powerful and had what I like to call a Japanese 'space toilet'. Really the only negative I had during my nearly 2 weeks stay were sometimes a big group of kids sports teams stayed at the hotel and, as can be expected eveywhere in the world, were quite noisy although this didn't go on too late at night. Other than that I will be happy to stay here again in the future.
