Koe House

The hostel is only 2 minutes walking from the kawaguchico station. The lady (reception, may be the owner) was so nice and hospitable. I and my sister stayed in a private small japanese room in the 2rd floor, sleeping on futon. It was really an interesting experience.

Good:
* If you travel on budget, this guest house is perfect for you. Price is cheap, compare to other place nearby. 
* Location is very good, just across the Kawaguchiko Station.

Bad:
* You must got to 2nd floor to stay, so a bit hard for old people, to go up & down all the time you need to go outside. 
* Pretty clean, but interior & bathroom looks kind of old. Not modern look, like other guest house in Tokyo for example.

Perfect for Budget Traveler!

The Hotel its near the Kawaguchiko Station, about a minute walk. Not far from hotel theres a good ramen house. 
Room are clean, nice and friendly house owner.

Great experience...

It's less than one minute walk away from Kawaguchiko train station, and we could see Mount Fuji from our room. Combine this with an affordable price tag, and it's hard to complain too much.

That said, the staff here are by far the most apathetic we've seen through our trip in Japan, totally lacking in friendliness or courtesy. Facilities are spartan. Soundproofing is very poor so any noise outside in the street will be clearly visible in the room, but luckily the street quietens down after sunset.

It's a convenient base if you plan to spend most time outside and transit through Kawaguchiko station frequently, but it's not an accommodation you'll want to relax in outside bedtime.

Convenient location but little else

Terrible bed bugs - stay away!
The only good thing is location, however our room was crowded with bed bugs! Unfortunately I read other reviews after we came back and people were warning about bed bugs multiple time and staff don't seem to care. Believe me, you don't want to wake up covered in blood and huge red spots all over your body and them risk carrying them to your house. Google "bed bugs bites" and if you are ok with this itchy disease on your body then go for it. I understand that it can happen even to good hotels, however in normal places owner reacts to problem quickly and hire professional team to get rid of it, but here you are guaranteed to get them in package.
