8 reviewsWe were looking for some space to spend 3 nights in the Lake Kawaguchiko area and this accommodation did not disappoint, particularly with its uninterrupted views of Mt Fuji from the bedroom, bathroom, dining area and back verandah. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a Lawson and separately, a large supermarket just a 10-15 minute walk away with all the supplies you need. The host doesn’t speak English well but Google Translate is your friend and he kindly picks you and up and drops you back to Kawaguchiko Station. You have the option for western beds or traditional bedding. The western bed mattresses were comfy with good back support and the pillows were on the softer side which we prefer. We took advantage of the free bike hire with this accommodation and just cycling around the lake, particularly during golden hour, was truly magic. Being able to wash and dry our clothes on site was very handy. We bought a 2 day tourist bus pass from Kawaguchiko Station and one of the bus stops (on the green line) is located very near the road entrance to this accommodation. For those looking for convenient, self-contained and spacious accommodation, I would highly recommend Villa May Queen.
