International Inn Kokage

I was almost discouraged by some bad reviews. But, i am very happy that I ignored his reviews and decided to stay here. I stayed here for two nights and I was very warm and comfortable. For 4350 you get a private room. The room is small and somewhat dilapidated. But it is clean, and the WiFi is very fast. The heating is great. The location of the hotel is perfect. And, during my stay it was very quiet. Although the room is dilapidated, it actually ended up being quite charming. Kind of old style retro. There are two single beds in the room. There’s even an old dial phone —and it works! Sink, small toilet, and very small bathroom. I didn’t use the shower/bath in the room anyway as the onsen is much better. The ladies who run the place are charming and very helpful. The downstairs area is very charming with many antiques. If you are looking for a luxury room, this place is not really for you. But, if you want a warm, comfortable and friendly location right in the center a block from the train station, this is a great option. Also, I arrived at around noon and checked in with no problem. Many other hostels or hotels in Japan seem to want to prevent you from checking in until 4:00 PM.
