B&B Il Vulcano

My fiance and I went to Sicily to attend her best friend's wedding. Two other couples were with us but they only stayed a few nights; we were there 6 nights. We arrived around midnight the first day and we were greeted by Mirko, the owner. Although I didnt speak Italian and his English was limited, he was so friendly and expressive that we understood most of what he was explaining to us. The next morning we woke up and were greeted by his wife, Silvana, who was even more warm and welcoming. They treated us like old friends, even though we could not speak the language. Not once did we ever feel uncomfortable there. The rooms are very clean, all the linens and towels were made up every day, and our room had access to the balcony which was perfect for relaxing during our downtime. On our last night, my fiance and I went to the market to buy some local things; wine, cheese, meats, olives, bread, dessert. When we came back we asked for a bottle opener. Mirko instead brought out tablecloth, wine glasses, opener, cheeseboard, plates, and utensils. He set everything up for us on the balcony table and we were able to relax and enjoy our last night in Sicily. Another plus was that they provided us with a ride to the airport. We paid only 20 Euros; that is how much we paid when we arrived in Milan - Linate to the city center. If I came back to Aci Catena, I would love to stay here again because it would feel like visiting old friends. They have a very sweet and friendly dog named Triss who we miss a lot too.
