Very quaint and beautiful, we even had a mural on our bedroom wall of a river. It is run by an elderly couple (I think they were a couple anyway) who both spoke reasonable english and couldn't do more for you. The woman even wrote out directions for us for the next stage of our journey. The location is good, pretty central. You don't have to walk far to find restaurants or bars. Plenty of museums and things close by as well. It has a few quirks as it is an old building and the wifi was a bit hit and miss. Breakfast was good, lots of fresh baked goods. They also have parking, but only for 2 cars so make sure you reserve it. They were not good at replying to emails so we were not sure until we got there if we could actually park. There is also lots of pay and display parking around. However I would not advise you drive there! the junctions are terrible and on our last day we got into an accident there. (obviously no fault of the hotel)

great hotel

It s an old, amazing, charming hotel, at the 2nd floor of a classical building, very nice room, comfortable, clean and quiet even if on the avenue ! The staff is very, very kind, they make you feel like family. The dogs are welcome. The location is excellent, in the heart of the historical city center and Porta Nuova.

This is a charming place on the 2nd floor of a lovely old building, with a beautiful wrought iron elevator. 
Location is central and very convenient – a few blocks from Porta Nuova Station and walking distance to city centre.  Metro station right in from of the building, which was kind of a negative also because of the train noise, though not loud. Some street noise.
Staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional, fluent in English. 
Room was large, airy, high ceiling, very clean. Bathroom is a step up and a bit narrow but very clean.
Breakfast was simple but ample – coffee/tea, bread, croissant, cheeses, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, fresh fruits.

A lovely place to stay in Turin

This charming facility is centrally located in Turino.  You can walk to most any place including the central train station.  The innkeepers are as timeless as the facility and its appointments.  Be prepared to climb stairs and struggle a bit with baggage as one would in a centuries-old building.  This is not a place for individuals needing accommodations for physical challenges nor anyone who relies on the internet for work.

Center of Town, Good for a Short Stay

Its very central - that's for sure. It's a 10 min walk (with luggage and teen kids in tow) from Porto Nuevo train station. There's a metro (next) stop right outside the hotel as well - in fact you can hear it if your room faces the main street as ours did. 
Hotel entry itself is weird - ring an apt button (labeled hotel) and they buzz you in. Then you enter through another set of doors away from the central courtyard of the building. The "lift" (elev) looks VERY questionable but it works fine. Although if you're carrying large luggage expect only one piece in at a time. Seriously. 
Hotel reception is on the second floor - once you check in you have to go through a short corridor past quaint sitting and breakfast rooms to get to another private elevator (max 4 pp; 325 kg) to get to floors 3-5!!
The rooms are quaint - that's a carefully chosen word. Nice ambiance but everything is dated - beds, furniture, lamps. No A/C but desk fans provided. As another reviewer said, the bathroom has a lot to be desired - its clean but it is small. I guess we are spoiled at home in the USA (and thank God:) Even the towels are not regular or plush - they're the antique thick-sheet material towels. Very strange I thought. 
Besides the location and price, I wouldn't stay at this hotel.
