We are so happy to have stayed in this beautiful place. We could wax lyrical about its calm, beautiful historical features, but wouldnt do it justice. From moment i made the reservation 18 months ago i was filled with absolute confidence that i had made right decision.Ilaria, katia and Pauloa are the epitony of the perfect reception staff. Friendly, helpful and efficient; even in the face of an embarrassing error (on my part) at the last minute, they were so professional. Rooms: comfortable large beds, unexpectedly powerful showers and gorgeous original features. Facilities: the pool and surrounding area is a relaxing oasis. Spotlessly clean, including the shower and toilets. Food: we ate dinner twice and we heartily recommend. Delicious, local dishes, decent portion size and very good value for money. Staff: there is only a small day to day staff at the hotel, which gives it a lovely sense of familiarity; we liked this. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful and professional. A special mention of Christina in the restaurant who was very patient deciphering my families strong Scottish accents at dinner. One point to mention...We were attending a wedding nearby and we werent driving; so had to rely on the local taxi service; which was reliable and fairly priced, I would say that to fully appreciate the area a car is beneficial, though not essential. We absolutely loved our stay here and i fully intend to return with my husband.
