I can't say enough good things about Strafhotel&bar and its staff. After our pleasant stay in 2023, we again booked a night at the Straf to begin out Italy and France holiday with two of our teenage grandkids. When Atlanta weather problems caused us to miss our flight to Milan, we lost our two pre-paid rooms at the Straf. Arriving in Milan a day late, we nevertheless went to the Straf hoping to store our luggage while visiting the cathedral. When stopping at reception and explaining our situation, Anna and Lorenza graciously found a guest room for us to use for a few hours to freshen up and regroup. I took the kids to the cathedral and my wife stayed in the room to recover from the flight. Anna then arranged a taxi (and made sure no one else grabbed it) for our ride back to the train station and our travel to Venice. When I offered, Lorenza and Anna refused any payment for the use of the room; their kindness put our trip back on a positive track! We're already looking forward to our next trip to Milan and staying at the Straf.
