Like many of you, I booked this place to be near the airport for a morning flight. If I could do it again, I'd stay for a few days to enjoy Monica's unending generosity and friendliness and to explore Fiumicino. Monica was proactive in her communications with us before our arrival and even arranged an airport pickup for us. The accommodations are wonderful - super comfortable, private, and charming. Monica has a knack for anticipating what guests need and she provides everything, from a fresh baked pie to a delicious breakfast to warm conversation. Thanks to her for a great stay!

Wish I could go again!

What a hidden gem that is very convenient to Rome Leonardo Di Vinci Airport.  Great wi-if connection and speed.  Has 2 rooms both with very comfortable beds.  Less than 10 minutes from airport and Ostia Antica which was very interesting.  Super automatic coffee maker for Latte, Cappuccino, Americano and more.  Plenty of plates glasses and refrigerator and microwave.  Layer out very well and very clean.  Great owners who make you want to come back.  Nice assortment layer out for breakfast.  Has refrigerator and microwave.  Would be place of choice next time in Rome.

Hidden Gem close to Airport

This B&B is located within 10 min drive from the airport and has a secure private parking.  I was impressed by how well-organized and professional Monica was.  Great signs to outline everything that we needed to know.  Coffee/tea machine is available 24h in a shared kitchen area. The breakfast was self-serve and simple, but sufficient for us. Monica speaks fluent English, so it was easy to communicate.  
Will stay again for the early flight.

Wonderful budget accommodations near Fiumicino airport

The host, Monica, was really great. 👍 The accommodations are located in a quiet neighborhood, and your car is safe behind a locked wall. We choose to stay close to the airport because I'd (foolishly booked an early morning flight home). Monica  (her husband) also offers a shuttle service to the airport. The room we booked was compact and perfectly clean. It also offers access to a shared dining room area. The wifi works well. And she has a coffee  machine that is better than Starbucks.

Cadillac Treatment for a Chevrolet Sticker - Recommended!

We stayed here the night before we flew out from Rome and we had a wonderful time talking to our host and the other guest staying there. The room was very comfortable as was the other facilities in the room and we even had a little balcony to sit out on. Monica ensured that we had everything we needed and even provided a fresh cake and frittata for our breakfast on top of all the other goodies she left out. There was a coffee machine and kettle to use during our stay. Monica also organised a transfer to the airport and to collect us from our hire car depot with her as the driver! Il Viandante is in a quiet, safe area of Fiumincino and we definitely recommend it for travellers who fly out of Rome.

Wonderful place to stay near the airport

Great place to stay! We would definitely stay here again. Monica and Andrea were great hosts. Andrea picked us up from the airport and helped carry our bags up the stairs to our red room on the 3rd floor, which was clean, neat, and comfortable.  
The dining area was on the second floor and had packaged pastries, coffee, tea, and homegrown persimmons we could help ourselves to whenever we wanted. Breakfast was good. It consisted of croissants and other fresh pastries, a frittata, juice, coffee, and tea.
They had several recommendations for dinner that night at nearby restaurants and we started walking in the rain. Monica and Andrea were coming home from somewhere and spotted us. They drove us to a pizza restaurant they liked that was a little closer than the one we'd picked from TripAdvisor so it would be less distance to walk back in the rain. Monica checked with the owners to make sure it was open before leaving us there since it was early for Italian dinners (7pm). 
We just stayed one night here before going to the cruise port in Civitavecchia. Andrea drove us to the port, too, which cost 70 euros, but that was considerably cheaper than the taxi, and much easier than lugging bags on the trains and trying to figure out times and routes.
Il Viandante was a great introduction to Italy! If you've got an overnight stay and need to be close to the airport, we highly recommend it.

Recommended!

Wonderful little property, with just a couple of rooms.  Mine was immaculate, the adjacent over-sized kitchen full of treats, some home-made, and accessible 24/7.  Lovely host.  Ideal if you have a car (and a GPS!) but they'll pick you up/deliver you to Fiumicino airport for €10.00.  Possibly the best b&b I have ever stayed in, certainly recently.  She tries to make everything as good as it can be, and it shows.

Superb b&b with excellent hosts

I arrived to Il Viandante on a cold rainy day, tired and soaking wet. Within 10mins of being here I couldnt have been happier. I was greeted with an attitude of that of an old friend, nothing but smiles and and a warm heart from Monica. After seeing my room and getting a chance to put my bags down Monica showed me the kitchen which was full of home baked goods, coffee, teas, yogurt and many other options for breakfast or just to snack on. Noticing I was wet and tired Monica offered to make me a meal I glady accepted and within 10mins she made me a delicious warm bowl of pasta. Now if all the hospitality wasnt enough the room was spotless with a large comfortable bed, books, cards, games, and even television. The bathroom and kitchen were of equal quality to the bedroom. If you're looking for a place to stay a day before you catch a flight there is no better place. They even offer a shuttle service to the airport for 10 euro. My only regret about staying here is that I didnt come sooner and stay longer. Thank you so much Il Viandante for making my last day in Europe one of relaxtion and  giving me the feeling like I was already home. 

Best accommodations i've ever had!

Monica and Andrea are perfect hosts. Day before we had a bit of change in our plans however Monica was able to arrange the transfer from Rome for us on the short notice. It made our travel so much easier. Accommodation is located on upper floor of the well cared for duplex with self serve snack/kitchen area. Home baked cakes and coffee on arrival was a very nice touch. We had a very comfortable bedroom with a small balcony and nice and very clean bathroom. Free to use bicycles allowed us to have a great ride to the beach and a trip to the supermarket. Since we were departing very early morning Andrea was able to drop us off to the airport and Monica went out of her way to prepare for us vegan breakfast to go. Thank you for all.
