Brezza Di Grecale

This is a vacation condo complex on the main coast road. It’s extremely well put together and appointed. It’s kind of modern Miami Beach. It’s one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in Italy. There is no fulltime staff there. We were given the passcode for the front door and our room was open and the key inside. Later in the afternoon we met with Alessando the Brezza manager to check in. His English is excellent. This is perfect for beach people; it was June 1 when we were there, but the weather was good enough to sit on the beach. Most of the beach is private, but I would assume you could pay for entry to the clubs (check with Alessando,) It has 3 floors plus a large roof terrace and about 16+ units, about half facing the sea. There are about 6-8 free parking spots in back of the hotel. We selected a large top-floor room (25 sm) for the view. It had a large balcony w/table & 2 chairs. The doors all had screens (a first in Europe for us after 25 trips!) The room had a stone floor; armoire; desk; 2 places for luggage; mirror; small flat screen; table w/2 chairs; fully stocked kitchen; large refrigerator (made ice for my gin!); excellent A/C-heater; room uses a card attached to the key that triggers the electrical in the apartment; no room service or in-room coffee (though there is a Moka coffee maker there); 2 pillows (Sicilian tubes vs. fluffy American style); quilt in armoire; end tables; reading lights; phone in room (not sure how charges are handled); and intercom to entry floor. Everything was white. The bathroom was large (8 sm) with a very large shower, full amenities, bidet, good shelf space, hairdryer, 6 towels of good quality, window w/screen and good lighting They do not provide breakfast but there is a bar where you can get a coffee and roll about 100 yards away. Wifi was superfast Sleep: very quiet w/double-pane doors shut. There are no good restaurants nearby. We ended up driving into Marsala.
